So, since this came up with Mavaro, I'm curious what peoples' opinions are on Zadim using the Inquisitor deck.
The relative lack of melee weapons concerns me. I also don't like it because of the relatively large number of B spells for a character who can't use them, ever.
On the other hand, if you focused him on non-two-handed ranged weapons, then skill feats in Dexterity could be double-bonus for when he adds his stealth to his OWN combat checks. So I'm not saying this is the worst choice. I just wanna talk about it.
My ideal for Zadim is lots of melee weapons (most of which are one-handed), few or no spells, and light armor.
What are the other options? Fighter deck has a better melee selection, but it actually has one MORE spell than the Inquisitor deck and is kinda heavy on the heavy armor. Rogue has relatively few spells and plenty of light armor, but it also focuses on ranged/dex-based combat. Barbarian has zero spells, lots of light armor, but most of the weapons are two-handed.
Monk would be interesting, except for the complete lack of armor...
What are other people's thoughts?

I'm with you. I actually helped consider the deck options for Zadim and looked at Rogue, Monk, and Fighter. Rogue would have given him poison options, but unfortunately the weapons didn't seem right at all (plus the deck is old). Monk has zero armor options, so that was a non-starter since you can't create a legal deck. Inquisitor was really the only one that fit well enough, even without the poison options. I would suggest people try Zadim in Season of the Plundered Tombs and use the Trader mechanic to get him a Finesse weapon in the early scenarios, and poisons in the later scenarios when they're available.

There's no perfect class deck for Zadim, alas. That said, note the power requires that it invoke the Poison trait, not have it. So when you face the Emperor Cobra, Ghost Scorpion, or Scarab Swarm, it applies then.
The trader rules for Season of the Plundered Tombs do help you out in customizing your cards, though :)

If you are looking for deck with Melee weapons, and Ranged weapons, and light armor.... you could consider the Ranger deck. Pretty sure there's no Poison in it, and it does have a few spells, but the Melee weapons are better than the Ranged weapons.
I didn't check how many are two-handed though. I'm sure some of them are.

Another remark on the recent choices of class deck rewards:
I made a spreadsheet which counts how many different characters can be played per class deck, asuming all guild play rewards I'm aware of. Following are the class decks ordered by playable characters:
9:
Rogue
7:
Wizard, Cleric
6:
Bard, Druid, Fighter, Inquisitor, Oracle, Paladin, Ranger, Sorcerer
5:
Alchemist, Goblins Fight
4:
Barbarian, Goblins Burn, Gunslinger, Monk, Summoner, Warpriest, Witch
I guess the bottom line here is that it would be nice to prefer the lower tiers in future considerations for rewards / new base sets.
Also:
Jade Regent would be a good choice to give the 4-brigade a bit of loving, so pretty please make it happen ;)

We do need a few more class decks - I was thinking this as we're about to pick character for the next sortie. The first seven kind of don't count - the decks really aren't very good (with the Bard deck being the worst); I don't think I'll ever consider one of them for organized play again, with the possible exception of the cleric deck. The latest batch has decks which range from mostly "pretty good" to "great", with exciting characters to play that can hold their own. Some of them are probably even a bit too good.
If you discount the first seven decks, then there are some gaps to be filled - Hunter would likely be a better version of the Ranger, Ninja a better version of the Rogue (which was not as acquisition-focused as one might have hoped), the Skald a better version of the Bard, and there's no real Arcane / Fighter hybrid - a Magus deck would be great. Shaman seems like it would really be redundant, given all the good divine decks we have right now. Maybe sometime late next year - but I'd rather see them continue what seems to be the current trend of releasing things only when they're more polished.

Without dreaming about any new characters, lets look at what would be needed just to cover any currently available character.
The only characters that I'm aware of that can't be played in organized play are
- SnS Seltyiel (Magus)
- WotR Crow (Bloodrager)
- WotR Adowyn (Hunter)
- MM Estra (Spiritualist)
- MM Yoon (Kineticist)
- MM Ahmotep (Magus)
Seltyiel, Crow and Ahmotep are missing, as already stated, due to a lack of a fighter/arcane class deck. A magus deck could probably cover all of them, with crow being a reward.
Adowyn seems to work well with the ranger class deck, so I'm not quite sure why she got the short end of the stick so far? She seems the only character with easy access to a fitting class deck that isn't rewarded, unless I'm missing something.
Estra could probably fit in the oracle or cleric deck, and yoon could probably be assigned to multiple different class decks, depending on intent, so we might see them further down the current season.
Personally, I also think a Magus deck would be the best addition to cover more characters.
It's a pity, really, since I'm interested in the magus, monk, samurai and ninja the most and they are represented the least so far. I get that the asian characters are somewhat of a niche, but it would be cool if all the iconic heroes were covered, so that their cards could be used. On a related note: Ostog can be played with the monk class deck in a home game and works ok.

What's the thing about finesse weapons? Zadim doesn't gain anything from Finesse weapons, does he? He just needs some weapons that aren't two-handed. My perfect build for him would include at LEAST one big-ol' honkin' barbarian-style Greatclub/axe/sword, and the rest longsword-variants and maybe some maces for damage-type-variety.
