A single talent? Yes. To me, you're looking at a series of talents and/or an archetype. Realize having a fake kind of familiar and upgrading it to a real one is already two talents.
Something you could do here is make a series of talents and slow the progression like the first world summoner. That'd allow a far more fair curve in power, rather than just a single power.
Could make a talent that gives a small evolution pool to elementals you create with Spark of the Elements rather than a true eidolon.
possibly use burn for extra points

Is it worth losing the familiar benefits ?
At most? Maybe an upgraded version of the summoning thing that costs extra burn.
Eidolons are strong, and balanced around not equipping them with much in terms of costly magical items. They also have the mental advantages of a familiar, hands, and great melee ability that far outstrips animal companions.
I would be more inclined to give you an elemental themed animal companion.

That's the decision you would have to make, do you want to stay at Elemental Whispers or Elemental Whispers, Greater and keep or take one more talent and that elemental buddy of yours is now a full fledged Eidelon, I just figured the idea was in a similar vein as getting a familiar and worked as a natural progression
