Do Vampires loose control of Domination while in gaseous form?

Rules Questions

When a vampire changes to gaseous form does he loose the control of a person he is already dominating (because he looses supernatural abilities)?

Why would it? If it changed to gaseous form due to loss of hit points, it likely has other things to do than think of manipulating its domination victims, but otherwise, the link is not broken, and can be reused as soon as the vamp has time... if you insist on it, the link is temporarily broken when the vamp is in gaseous, but resumes assoon as it takes material form again.

ty for your answer, Klorox. I do not insist on it, i just want a clarification for an encounter to come in my CoT-Campaign. If the change is forced due to zero HP, it´s no deal to break the link, but i thought of it as a defensive ability to use like dominate from the shadows, then change to gaseous form and command your victim.

I would say it loses the ability which ends the dominate and would have to redo dominate after it reforms

Since domination attack is gaze based, a gaseous vampire cannot use it, but if the vampire is voluntarily in such form, I don't see why the mindlink and influence would be broken. There sure is nothing about that in the Bestiary.

Grand Lodge

He'd only lose the ability to dominate new people. The dominate effect is on the target.

If a wizard cast dominate person on someone and then died, that person would still be dominated and performing whatever they were last instructed to do. The dominate would drop a day later when the wizard wasn't around to spend a standard action to maintain control.

thanks to all your answers, i will maintain then link then ;)
