Can I get a Dire Tiger as a bonded mount?

Advice

Bonded Mount (Su): You gain the service of an unusually intelligent, strong, and loyal mount. The creature must be one that you are capable of riding and is suitable as a mount. A Medium oracle can select a camel or a horse. A Small oracle can select a pony or wolf, but can also select a boar or a dog if she is at least 4th level. This mount functions as a druid’s animal companion, using your oracle level as your effective druid level. Bonded mounts have an Intelligence score of at least 6.

So im playing a third party class that allows me to take revelations and i was thinking of taking the above mentioned revelation but flavor wise the horse or camel aren't exactly fitting to the character who is from a forested tribal community and as a symbol of strength i figured this would be a better mount.

Would the rules for animal companions allow for this?

Sure. I'd do it all the time, its called refluffing. Your tiger gets the stats of a horse, or camel if you prefer.

talk to your gm, many are happy to green light aesthetic changes like this.

Not RAW. It's the reason beast Rider Cavaliers are a thing. Your best chance might be reflavoring.

Though this might cut it

No, you only get what's listed.

Tiger is a combat animal with better combat abilities.

This would not be reflavoring, it would be a direct power upgrade.

As others have said you can reflavor although a mount in general doesn't really make sense if the forest is densely packed.

There's the monstrous mount feat to take other options. No tiger, but griffons have leonine features at least.
