PFS Board and Board Slayer build

Advice

Sovereign Court

I had an idea for a character using two shields and making use of the Heroic Interposition feat to act as a tank. For feats he would have TWF, Improved Shield Bash and Shield Mastery for the shield use and Dodge, Mobility, Improved Initiative and Heroic Interposition for the rest. The character will be human and use the Combat Trick, Ranger Combat Style for Slayer Talents. Does this seem feasible?

The once per day limit on Heroic Interposition seems like a bad idea to build around unless you're playing w/ stamina rules (which PFS doesn't use.) If you're wanting to do "tanky" tricks you might look into In Harm's Way. It doesn't allow the movement but its not limited to once a day. Stand Still can prevent them from moving away from you but works better w/ a reach weapon.

2 shields sounds cool but is a bit impractical. I'd recommend a heavy spiked shield so you can 2 hand it for 1.5str dmg on a standard attack. Use a cestus in your offhand for TWF when you can full attack. The small dmg dice of the cestus will be offset by sneak attack.

Feasible? Yes, but you might as well go with Fighter with that build.

The beauty of Slayer is taking Bashing Finish at level 10 and using a Scimitar on your other hand to trigger it.

I wasn't going to go with fighter because they have to wait until lvl 11 to get Shield Mastery

Not a big issue for a class with natural AC bonuses and DR.
