Nope. The full first power is "For your combat check, reveal this card to use your Strength skill + 1d6. You may additionally discard this card to add your Ranged skill." This weapon is meant to appeal to ranged combatants who have high strength, not melee folks.
Also, don't mock the Hunga Munga, or Buffy will show you how it's used.

Zadim is the only one that can receive the Curse of Buffy.
Okay, sure, he's the only slayer so far, but he's not really Hunga Munga material. Assuming it has the Knife trait, Simoun would be doing some serious damage with it. D12 + 2 + 2d6 on a recharge? Pretty spiffy.
As an aside, I really hope an eventual Slayer class deck has a character that specializes in fighting undead. I dunno, maybe use the Spiritslayer and Grave Warden RPG archetypes as roles on the role card.

It does not have the knife trait. :(

That's really funny, considering a 'hunga minga' search throws up this Wikipedia page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mambele_(knives)Funny... or FAQ-worthy?
I mean, honestly, if they're aimed at Ranged characters - why would they NOT have the Knive trait? (the idea behind the design apparently being that you "throw" them for their discard power)

Seeing that made me double check! But no, still the "Axe" trait, my memory did not deceive me.
No big, though. As I've been playing Simoun, she doesn't want for good combat checks, and for her this would really just be 2d6+d12+X, which is right in line with what she gets from 'discarding' a regular Chakram (d12+d8+d4+X), which also has a decent BYA power, and an upgraded version with a +1 and a d6 instead of a d4 on discard. Quirky weapon, but no actual loss.

I don't have my MM yet, didn't know it had the Axe trait. Still,we have plenty of FAQs for missing/wrong traits, so I think there's a chance that something literally known as 'knife' in real life is supposed to have the Knife trait in PACG. I wouldn't even rule out that its supposed to have *both* Axe and Knife (as it kinda depends on your usage) - it's certainly exotic enough to pull such stunts.

"Supposed to" in what sense? It is a game (not a simulation) after all.
"Supposed to" in the sense that Radiance was supposed to have the Slashing trait, or that Improvised Dinosaur was supposed to have Animal instead of the Dinosaur trait, i.e. for one reason or another the design intended did not match the printed card. I think this meaning was pretty much spelled out in my post.
At any rate, Vic made the matter clear enough.
