The update made just a bit ago on the project made mention of the Inner Circle of Starry Wisdom. Interesting. Great Old Ones...Wasted West...might that be a hint? (Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes)
First stretch goal in the can in under 2 hours!
Next up - expanded antipaladins!

This book has some great art already, but for true vileness and world-class world conquering, it probably needs exactly 10 more images.
ART STRETCH GOAL FUNDED!
And you know what's better than cool art? Ass-kicking anti-paladins, of course.
ANTI-PALADIN STRETCH GOAL FUNDED!
Man, I could get used to this.

The Demon Cults & Secret Societies kickstarter (and not 'lickstarter' :) is humming along nicely
However, I noticed something just now. In each category (PDF, Print, deluxe edition etc), the 5E version is outpacing the Pathfinder version!
I guess what I'm saying is ...
Come on Pathfinder fans, REPRESENT!!!!
Spread the word and let's equal out those numbers! :)

I can tell you that none of the cults I wrote featured the Great Old Ones, though one has a peripheral connection to the Mi-Go.
That said, if Wolfgang decided he wanted something on the Black Goat of the Woods, I would not be adverse to it.

Yep, about $500 short for Hero Lab files. I think we're going to get there, but it would be great to see more Pathfinder backers pledging.
I'll be pledging later today. In my case, the announcement here didn't make it readily apparent that it has expanded content. I thought it was just compiling into a printed book for PF until I had a chance to check the KS campaign page.
So, my initial reaction of "a book would be nice but this is more for 5e players" changed to "yeah, gotta get this".

Oh, this is HUGELY for Pathfinder players. Jeff Lee, Jim Groves, and Jason Keeley worked for months expanding, refining, and streamlining the content especially for Pathfinder. Plus adding 5 more cults, plus new art, plus...
So yes, entirely my fault for not stressing that enough. It is a TON of new material for PF. If more than 30% of the book winds up being something from the original 5 cults I'll be shocked.
Marc redid the Pathfinder layout from scratch, if that's any indication.

If you want more action from many Pathfinder players you might want to talk up more of the things that a player can add to his character's toolsets.
Well... I'm not sure that's representative of the book. The focus is on tools for a Pathfinder GM, not treasures or options for the players.

The Demon Cults & Secret Societies kickstarter has now topped $25,000. Next up are goals which add even MORE chapters to the book (including Blood Sisters, Night's Cauldron, and the Black Goat's Flock)
There's lot's to love about this project, in other words! :)
BUT - the 5E backers are still waaaaaay outpacing the Pathfinder backers. So, at the risk of repeating myself: C'mon Pathfinder fans! Represent!!!! :) Spread the word on social media, message forums etc. and get the word out.
And, if you haven't already - get involved today ... you know you want to! :)

I am looking forward to Malena and Chernobog.
Quick question about the Flock of the Black Goat: is it her?
You mean the Queen of Decadence, the Whisperer in the Woods, the Wicked One, Patron of the Goblins, the Mother Whose Loins Bring Forth
Multitudes, Piper of the Midnight Sun, Father of Mayhem? That "her?"Maybe...
Also, I just noticed we're calling her Malena. It's actually Marena in the Campaign Setting.

Malena is the Sisterhood of Blood.
I was wondering the Flock of the Black Goat is the Black Goat of the Woods...her.

Right, but the name of the goddess is actually Marena.
And yes, that Black Goat.

I think that the reason for skewed perception about this kickastarter is that there is so much free 5e content on Kobold website. You should consider publishing more PF columns and free stuff. I know that's a strain on your resources, but it's a proven tactics for attracting customers. It doesn't have to be anything big. For instance, I'd love some details on famous Zobeck NPCs, such as the Head of Colegium and school Masters. Or perhaps some archetypes or feats.

We're about $100 short of unleashing this monstrous cult on the world.
Our nefarious plans are SO CLOSE! Won't you sponsor a cultist today?

Can I ask a question about Marena/Morana? I find her a bit loosely defined. Marena is originally a personification of winter and consequently death, but the death aspect is more pronounced in Pan-Slavic neopaganism of early 20th century than in RL mythology. Now, in Midgard I read her as some kind of blend of Morigu/Morigan of the Celtic mythology (in her aspect as goddess of battles and bloodshed) and Wee-Jas of Greyhawk (death and magic). Now, I may be skewed in my perception, since I gave Morana exactly that role and aspects in my home brew setting, but I'm interested to get a confirmation or denail of my take on her in Midgard...
