Aegis and Customization quick question.

Advice and Rules Questions

So, I started a new campaign and we are starting at level 3.

Do all my suits share the same customization that I renew each day, or can I pick up different customization for each suit type?

not a dev or anything, but I am fairly certain that they are the same across all your suits.

They share the same customization, other than the free base ones. I played one a while ago. I think they clarified on the official dreamscarred press forums.

I'm having trouble finding the post but if you want confirmation when I post on their forums:

http://dreamscarred.com/forum/general-discussion/pathfinder/

usually the developers answer.

their forum presence on their own forums is severely lacking, but I'll be their at the very least.

Ah I played the Aegis a couple years ago now so maybe when I was asking questions they were on their forum more.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As far as the rules for the astral suit go, the customizations you chose remain the same for each suit type. If customizations you chose are shared by one of the suit types as a free customization, well as stated in the rules...

"If the aegis changes the type of his astral suit and the free customizations would take the suit over the maximum limit (such as switching from an Astral Armor with 3 Nimble customizations to Astral Skin, which grants an additional Nimble customization), the excess customizations go inert until the astral suit is changed to make the selections valid (by reconfiguring the customization points via 8 hours of concentration or Reconfigure ability or switching the astral suit type)."

I missed that quoted section somehow.

Oddly I've never found their presence lacking, more they don't drop in and answer every little question (especially when it is stated how it works in the book). Not to mention there were people who are very knowledgeable on the rules (psionics have a little bit of a following) who generally pointed people in the right direction.

That being said I know the the kick starter was exhausting for them and more than a few of the people have had real life issues cropping up regularly (not the good kind) several months ago.

in the last 3 months at least, I have seen a lot of posts, some (possibly many) from myself, that to this day have no responses, or responses along the lines of: "it might work like this?" or "at my table, i'd allow this." Mind you, some have been hopped on. But, many have not. Of course, that is just looking at the first 2 pages of the pathfinder subsection of the dreamscarred press forums.

Edit: I agree though, they have been under a lot of stress over the last year.

I can sort of second Air0r's point of view. I find DSP staff responds a lot faster to questions on Giantitp than they do on their own forums.

Except the FAQ thread that one's just dead.

That would probably be due to it being the old stomping grounds of at least of one of the people they brought in to work on PoW. There was a pretty devoted following to Bo9S and pretty much all the fan made material is there. I don't know that I've ever seen a lot of the core DSP post there (beyond the initial "we're doing this now" stuff).
