Druid hindering Spells / Abilites.

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

2 people marked this as a favorite.

So I was told that Druids aren't the best at buffing party members, which is why I choose the class.
I was also told that they are great at hindering opponents, what are some examples of this?
How can I really stick it to the baddies?

Wall of Thorns, Stone Spikes, Wood/Stone Shape, even Faerie Fire can hinder your foes. Same as Wildshaping into something with reach to constrict their safe movement to not close to you.

I meant something like Hemingway the baddies. Like unbenifitial spells .

Stupid autocorrect. I meant Hexing or negative effects

Slap a Dazing Spell on a Fire Storm and you are done for the day as far as your negative effects needs go.

For entangled: Entangle & variants, any cold spell (e.g. Frostbite or Frost Fall) with Rime Spell added, or if you're the type to enter melee try Vine Strike. There's spells which can cause exhaustion like Heatstroke or Touch of Bloodletting. Burst of radiance, spit venom and slowing mud can all blind. Slowing mud also slows the enemy; Snowball or Frigid Touch can stagger a single enemy. Other spells can poison, sicken, or occasionally nauseate or knock prone. Fog and mists block sight or winds can just block arrows.

That's not an exclusive list. Druids have many, many ways to mess with you.

You don't need Metamagic anymore: new general feats:

And its friends:

Etc.

No Level adjustment, but you take -1 DC.
