(1) Duergar Race
- Enlarge Person once per day (increase to large)
- Dorn Dergar weapon and Dwarven Boulder helmet
(2) Spelleater Bloodrager(4-Abberant)
- +5ft reach
- +10ft movement
- Can't cast spells due to low Cha so replace with healing
(3) Ranger (6)
- Get faithful combat for combat style from Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Combat
- This gets you Improved Initiative at lvl2 and whirlwind at lvl6 (ignores prerequisites when getting it via combat styles)
(4) Feats
- Get Lunge at lvl6
- Get Giant Steps (+20ft movement when large)
(5) Traits
- Reactionary +2 initiative
- Adopted (Drow) for Arcane Prodigy (double duration of enlarge person. At lvl 10 this takes you from 10 to 20 minutes, more than enough to last any fight)
By lvl 10, when using enlarge person....your movement increase to 50ft. So positioning yourself shouldn't be hard. You also get +4 to initiative. Add in reactionary and dex14 for +8. So going before the enemy for a good position is certainly possible.
You also get a reach of 25ft. 10 for being large, 5 for a reach weapon, 5 for bloodline ability, 5 for lunge. Long arm bracers can increase this to 30ft.
And then whirlwind away! Without the feat tree or stat requirements. Most importantly though, anyone who moves within those 30 feet gives you an attack of opportunity. Even at 5ft because of the helmet.
And finally for RP: Abberrant bloodline fits duergar well, given their darkland homes. Adopted drow make sense given that drow are slavers. Even being an adventurer is easily explained, just by saying that you are an escaped slave. For ease of story just have your duergar sold to orcs by the drow who then escapes while on the surface.
I can't think of any other way to get such a long reach with a martial character while avoiding the whirlwind feat and stat tax. So...did I do this right?
