Race Boons & GM Blobs

I received the Grippli boon recently, and like all race boons stat "must be the first chronicle applied to this character".
I currently have an inactive character sitting with one credit applied to it, with no current plans or builds planned to play it.

Can i apply the Grippli boon to that character, or do i have to apply it to a clean-slate chracater?

I believe that you have to have a completely clean slate.

Since you can rebuild the character in any way up until playing at 2nd level, yes you can.

True, a GM baby isn't locked in until it's actually played. Even if you applied enough chronicles to level the character to 8, until you actually play the character it's not finalized. So you should be able to apply a race boon.

The simple solution to the boon needing to be the first chronicle is to number it zero.

What about chronicle -7 tien weapon training?

I just name them A - B - C and so on, and the first chronicle from a game (either played or credit) is nr. 1

I do a similar thing for my characters that have a stack of non-adventure boons.

The scenario/module/AP chronicles are numbered in order starting 1, 2, 3, ... The other boons are numbered 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, ...
