If you have a specific question about a class build, it's much better to make a new post. With an old post this long, most people (myself included) aren't going to bother reading everything just to be "caught up".

I might be repeating what's already been suggested since I just skimmed over it. But I'm not sure if you have enough combat feats to make the fighter route worthwhile.

What are you planning on doing with your familiar?

you could just take the feat Wasp Familiar and be done with it. No multi-classing required.

If you do have enough feats to warrant taking levels in eldritch guardian, you probably still want to take eldritch heritage (arcane) and apply the mauler archetype. This way the familiar will still progress with you as you level (instead of being stuck at level 2) and it can turn into a medium sized creature allowing it to fully take advantage of your combat feats. If it needs to be able to wield a weapon then take either monkey or raccoon depending if you want it to be more dex or str based. Since these familiars actually have hands.

It is not about a class build so much as the specific set of circumstances laid out (which why it brought this thread back). I wanted to avoid someone referring back to this post, which was another reason not to start a new one.

It is NOT about gaining an optimized familiar, or any kind of familiar just to have one. The boon is for a pseudodragon. If I can pick it up by retraining a feat and dipping a level, great. It works for role play and story reasons.

I am just trying to confirm that my build is both correct and PFS legal.

Make a new post with your specific situation and question, no one is going to read through 50 posts of crap from 2 yrs ago, let this thread die.

wow... I disagree. I actually did read thru this, all "50 posts of crap from 2 yrs ago". Rather than creating a new tread so that we can cover the same ground, and repeat the same posts over again... but whatever.

Here's the current edition of the same basic thread.

actually not sure about the other classes (I'll try to update this PC so you can see what she is like currently) - my Stats really aren't likely to support much in the way of a more Martial class.

Going Tatooed Sorcerer would give me access to an expanded spell list (mostly for use of wands of spells like obscuring mist) - and that is very nice. The Fighter is tempting for the extra feat (as I need to re-train one to get Sparky... Fighter would mean I wouldn't have to retrain...)

The fighter archetype that gets a familiar trades away it's bonus feat.
Ouch! Thanks! right you are. so much less likely to take this after all...(and that's why I'm checking out here, just to be sure I do it correctly).

I believe that the extra feat that you get by taking a level in fighter has to be a combat feat. So you would still have to retrain something and I'm not sure if you can retrain the combat feat (someone could answer that better than me).
