If I want to buy tiny gear for a familiar, how does that work? How does it get priced? Is it different for regular gear (barding, etc) vs just smaller sized magic items (handy haversack)?
I'm just looking for the official PFS rules on this sort of thing, since I've started playing with familiars a lot more lately.

Officially you cannot buy tiny weapons or armor as there is no pricing for them. This is workable as generally armor isn't that great at that size and you are better of with using Mage Armor (possibly out of a wand) on your familiar. For weapons Iron Lord's Transforming Slivers let you permanently shrink a small weapon to tiny for 1000 gp. Wondrous items you don't have to worry about since they have no rules for sizing I'm aware of.

You probably want to skip on the armor, as tiny armor provides far less benefit, and stick with ye olde mage armor
That depends... if you are ever going to cast a polymorph spell on them semi-regularly to make them larger, the armor gets larger too and provides full benefit at that time. This is good because if they get larger their dex will decrease as well. (Example, a Mauler Familiar will spend much of its time medium)
It provides half benefit when tiny or smaller. So it is not worth it if they will stay their original size as Mage Armor will be superior.

Not true, armor is is priced for every size. It is weapons that are limited.
But it is true that you can't buy an item from a chronicle sheet resized to anything except small or medium."Characters purchasing equipment at sizes other than Small and Medium must adjust the prices per the existing weapon size rules (Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook 141). Unless an item on a Chronicle sheet lists a different size, it can only be purchased as a Small or Medium item."
But, a Resizing weapon, Fitting armor, Iron Lords Transforming Slivers and Resize Item (a 24 hour spell) all can change the size of equipment.
Anything considered "clothing but not armor" resizes magically automatically, as does jewelry.

Wondrous Items weigh the same regardless of size, since there is no subscript that identifies they'd weigh anything else.
Similarly we are given no guidance on how to price/weigh weapons that are smaller than Small and larger than Large.
Luckily we are given a price/weight for armor of unusual size and shape. So a chain shirt for your Imp is available.
However, 163 people are still waiting to hear how to price such armors made with special materials.
