I have heard rumor of Corruption Boons hitting the Society after Gen Con, if this is true does anyone know if they're going to be something from a Chronicle or am I gonna have to suck it up and go to Conventions?

There is the potential to acquire one in a current season 7 scenario. It isn't necessarily a good idea, but the option is there.

Well technically adventuring isn't a good idea but we do it for the L00Tz.

Yes there are indeed 5 corruption GenCon boons.

Hellbound, Possession, Ghoul, Vampirism, and Lycanthropy.

Silver Crusade

Yay!

Damn. Now I have to slave over convention GM tables to get race boons to trade for Corruption boons.

I managed to pull two. Which are you interested in?

Silver Crusade 3/5

I'd personally be interested in Hellbound, but I'd also like to know in general how these boons work. Would you mind quoting one?

Where was the vamp one? Possessed was 3D battle, ghoul/hell/Lycan were token boons.

I've only been told there was a Vampirism corruption. Don't know if it truly exists.

Well which ones you got? I'd be interested in any of em frankly.

I believe I have lycanthropy and possessed.

Well I haven't read the Possessed Rules yet so...Lycanthropy I guess if you want to drop it. I'll do some Con surfing for the other ones later in the year.

If I could get a vampirism boon, I might be willing to trade something I'd been holding on tightly to...

I can confirm that there was not a vampirism corruption boon. Robert is correct about the boons.

To be clear, the corruption boons do not use the rules from Horror Adventures. The boons comprise of a penalty, and a series of tasks to remove the penalty and turn it into a benefit.

I see. Thank you for the information! ^_^

(I'm more interested in the themes than the specific mechanics...)

Silver Crusade 5/5

But yeah, the corruption boons are super cool, I wish I had gotten more of them!

Is GenCon going on right now?
How do I get to it?
Is there ANY other way of getting Boons?

I REALLY NEED LYCANTHROPY! Q~Q

Dude, if there is even a hint of a chance to play a werewolf, I'm down.

I'm probably going to play a mooncursed barbarian. But that's just me. ^_^

Said boons are great roleplay devices but impart a negative side effect until you complete steps to purify said corruptions. When you do, you gain a nifty bonus for doing so. So sally they are not race boons.

And sad to hear there is no vampire corruption. But glad that I don't have to chase a wild goose.

Really looking forward to putting a Hellbound on one of my aasimars :)

I genuinely love roleplay, like LOVE roleplay. Besides, if I read it and don't like it I can trade it back or something like that.
