Description of Elemental Overflow:
"...she receives a bonus on her
attack rolls with kinetic blasts equal to the total number of
points of burn she currently has, to a maximum bonus of +1
for every 3 kineticist levels she possesses. She also receives
a bonus on damage rolls with her kinetic blast equal to
double the bonus on attack rolls..."
What exactly "bonus on attack rolls" is mentioned here?
My pathfindermates have two interpretations:
1. Total bonus on attack rolls, including BAB, ability score bonus, feats like weapon focus or point-blank shot, etc
or
2. Bonus on attack rolls produced by accepted burn
Option #1 makes Kineticist one of the best damage dealer in game, option #2 is just an average one

Things should generally be read as self-contained.
I don't understand what #1 is trying to say.

The attack and damage bonuses (+1 att/+2 dmg for each burn) apply to any attack or damage rolls using a Kinetic Blast. Normal, infused, composite, every one (minus the infusions that state they don't, like kinetic blade.).
This ability means you gain a bonus to attack rolls equal to the Burn you've accepted (limit +1 per 3 class levels), and a bonus to damage rolls equal to twice the Burn you've accepted (limit +2 per 3 class levels).
The phrase "double the bonus to attack rolls", refers to the bonus granted earlier in the ability's description.

Yes. The text in the rulebook. Even if it wasn't clear from general principles of design - and it is - the reference to "the" bonus, not "her" bonus makes it a reference to the specific bonus already mentioned.

OP, Mark here is the Designer of the kineticist so if the other folks haven't convinced you then his word should. The ability is pretty straight forward; if you have 1 Burn at 3rd level then you get +1 bonus to attack and +2 bonus to damage on any attack made with your kinetic blasts. If you are 6th level with 4 Burn, you still only get +2 attack and +4 damage bonus, because you are still limited by the +1 per 3 kineticist levels.
I don't understand what #1 is trying to say.For some reason someone at his table thinks "equal to the bonus on attack rolls" means your total bonus on attack rolls.
i.e. damage bonus equal to (BAB + Dex + Weapon Focus + Elemental Overflow, etc)*2
... o.O
