Heirloom Weapon Battle Host

Rules Questions

Can you get Heirloom Weapon on a Battle Host (Oculist)'s Panoply Bond?

The fluff says "non-masterwork." But, fluff isn't rules usually and it seems really appropriate.

You carry a non-masterwork simple or martial weapon that has been passed down from generation to generation in your family.

Benefit: When you select this trait, choose one of the following benefits:

proficiency with that specific weapon

a +1 trait bonus on attacks of opportunity with that specific weapon

a +2 trait bonus on one kind of combat maneuver when using that specific weapon.

Note: You pay the standard gp cost for the weapon.

At 1st level, a battle host forms a supernatural bond with a specific weapon,

quality and the battle host begins play with it at no cost.

Relevant abilities for the question at hand.

The "fluff" as you call it are the restrictions placed on what weapons can be chosen for the trait. The "fluff" is RAW.

You could probably convince a GM for a homebrew, but these two abilities wouldn't work together according to RAW.

Usually those lines are for flavor, not part of the rules. But this is so weirdly written. Sigh.

...or I could just convenience a GM of old Heirloom for a homegame. But not what I was thinking.

Why do you want Heirloom Weapon? There might be other ways to get there.

Twas just a random thought that maybe there was a way to get some use of it on a weapon I would legit use instead of trading in.

Ah, I see.
