This came up last session. A druid wanted to summon a stirge with summon nature's ally I. The stirge is Tiny, and thus has to be in an opponent's space in order to attack. Can the summon spell deposit the stirge in the space of another creature? A Tiny creature can legally be in the space of another creature, and summon nature's ally I doesn't mention placement at all.
The summoned ally appears where you designate and acts immediately, on your turn.
As far as I can see you can summon the creature into any space it can legally occupy... Including an opponents space.
That's my reading too. Makes Tiny summons much more useful.

That a required some research. You are a biologist, right?
No idea of what is Venture Brothers but from other posts BNW do something in the biology or forestry field. i don't recall exactly what.
