Scrivner lets you use Profession (Scribe) and gives a +1 bonus. It does not let you use Linguistics for day job rolls.

Got you covered, Tineke! You're right. Damanta made a Vanities Database.
Muahaha. Librarian search-fu. It's a super power!
Hmm

Yes, I've come to the conclusion that your lodge may be the biggest provider of value-added tools in PFS. We get all sorts of shiny databases and other tools out of you folks from the Netherlands. I'm just waiting now for the PFS database that will dispense Dutch cheese, chocolate, and tulips. I'm sure one of you must be developing one.
Hmm

Yes, and don't forget the Stroopwafels!

I did see this one, and found it oddly written. You already CAN use Profession (scribe) for your day job roll. Why did this have to give permission?

Assuming cerhiannon's quote above is accurate, it doesn't. It says "If you use ranks in Profession (scribe) to calculate your bonus on Day Job checks..."

We are currently trying out a chocolate sprinkle dispenser system.

It's easy: provide me with money (and an address), and food will magically appear on your doorstep! :D

It doesn't give you permission to use Profession (Scribe). It gives you a +1 bonus when you use Profession (Scribe) (EDIT: As your Day Job). It also lets you use Linguistics untrained when trying to recognize a forgery. Probably not the most useful vanity, but it does do something.

Having now read up on stroopwafels I think that this could become a new GM reward system. With every star, you get another stroopwafel! People would sign up to GM in droves. Alas, the caramel might make your dice sticky, but that's a small price to pay.
Hmm

(in character)
I, Buba Casanunda, am a cook by profession (day job), so I hand out recipes at the VC briefing when I go on missions and often I bring what's on "todays special" to the table with me.
Last game it was:
Coconut Drop Cookies:
6 cups shredded Mwangi coconut
5 cups granulated Mwangi sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
6 fresh chicken eggs
1/4 cup melted cows butter
1 tablespoon light Mwangi rum
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
In the large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and beat until thoroughly mixed. Cover the bowl and chill for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
Roll the cookie dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until browned on the bottom and around the edges. Cool the cookies on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container & transports well in a Handy Haversack.

Yay I updated my Vanities site :D
I finally added the licences (shame on me for neglecting that for more than a year and a half).
Also the first of two lists is available, namely the dayjob altering vanities.
The other list I'm going to make is which vanity enhances the dayjob roll. I'll try and get that one up faster than this one.
A few typos were found and corrected.

Stroopwafels are the best. But those people at the Huffingtonpost should be hanged. Suggesting corn syrup to be used for the stroop filling. Heresy!

oO That's a fairly glaring one, thanks for pointing it out. Will correct it this evening.
