Yet Another Weapon Cord Question

Rules Questions

I have scanned numerous discussions, but have not seen this particular question addressed, though I may have missed it. Bringing a weapon hanging from the cord to hand is a move action, but is it like drawing a weapon where you can do it while also moving (assuming min +1 BAB), or must you remain stationary like picking it up from the ground. Logically it would seem like you could move like drawing a weapon as the corded weapon is moving with you, but I realize that logic and rule interpretations are not always the same thing.

The Exchange

It's just a vanilla move action these days (although, since you won't be using your move action to actually move, you'll likely qualify for making a 5ft step).

Ah, slightly disappointing. It would seem to make more sense for it to be equivalent to a draw weapon action, but the rules are what they are, particularly in PFS.

Thanks for your response.

It was done because too many people were pulling shenanigans with TWF and guns

Those "shenanigans" can still be pulled with:

a kasatha
a tiefling with the Prehensile Tail alternate racial trait
a vanara
any character with a two level dip in alchemist for the Tentacle or Vestigial Arm discovery
any character with at least one level in slayer or swashbuckler willing to meet the prerequisites for Kick Up
any character using alter self to take the form of a kasatha or vanara

I'm sure there are others as well. Using a 1 sp equipment item was "too easy," I suppose... :/

Don't forget juggler bard! ;)

I didn't say they eliminated it, just that it was the reason that precipitated the change.

And the Gun Twirling feat.

But yeah, Paizo doesn't seem worried about people TWFing with guns when it comes at more of an opportunity cost than using a 1 sp piece of equipment.
