I am building an Unchained Summoner. I have decided to go with a Serpentine Psychopomp. One idea that I am toying with is to give it the Push evolution for its tail. Now then, since it starts with Reach and Grab for its bite, this would create a potential yo-yo situation where it bites an enemy, pulls it in, then tail slaps it and pushes it away. While this does seem like a very clever idea to me, I fear that it would be annoying for whoever runs. Since this is for PFS, I do not have one person I can ask.

It really becomes a non issue, the enemy is still 5 ft away from you as the end result.
Although now as im thinking about this its great for re positioning the enemy to a spot you want him.
Pull him in from the north, push him away to the east. he is now closer to an ally of yours and could provoke an AoO for your ally to hit him once.
Still requires multiple checks but is good board control. as a DM i Approve.
Side note check out a large wolf with lunge and combat reflexes with improved trip, its stupid good and destroys anyone and everyone.

Except when you grapple him he comes to the nearest unoccupied square and when he's pushed he's pushed directly away from you. So in most circumstances "pulling from the north and pushing to the east" isn't possible.
So basically this is an interesting idea that doesn't really do anything other than take up time at the table (i.e. a waste of time).
