Specific two weapon build question

So a long time ago a DM of mine back from 3.5 house ruled that I could dual wield rapiers. So my question is, is there a legit(no house ruling) way to do this in Pathfinder?

Yes

Do you mean dual wield in general, dual wield with -2 penalties like you were fighting with light weapons, or dual wield without penalties at all?

You can dual wield rapiers. Doing so incurs -4 penalties on attacks with both, so long as you have TWF. There are ways to get the one rapier to count as light (e.g., Effortless Lace), which means you could reduce the penalties to -2. You could dual wield Sawtooth Sabres (with EWP - but not finessable) to do the same, if you're not attached to Rapiers.

As far as removing penalties altogether, I don't think that's possible without house rule.

Nothing prevents you from wielding two rapiers. The penalties for doing so is just normally higher. Some options exist (like Two Weapon Fighter) to reduce the penalties.

Rapiers are one-handed weapon, so you can 2wf with -4s on the attack rolls with just the 2wf feat.

Two Weapon warrior

More specifically Improved Balance, Perfect Balance

Put effortless Lace on the Offhand Rapier and you can reduce TWF penalties Respectfully. Tho no one should take greater TWF....Two weapon Rend is MUCH MUCH better. Both for damage AND accuracy.

What also makes this archetype shine is the ability to as a standard action use both MH and OF attack....thus later when you get 2 weapon rend you could rand off a successful standard attack or AoOs. Movement tends to just plummet TWF DPR. This archetype at least helps to put a little more damage down by using TWF a bit more.

So I did mean getting the dual rapiers to -2/-2... Looks like I'll do single rapier until I purchase the effortless lace, thanks guys!

Good call on TWW. Forgot about that archetype.

And yeah, going beyond ITWF probably isn't worth it most of the time. The extra attack at -5 can still do some good. Another one at -10? Unless you're constantly fending off fields and fields of mooks, it will rarely have an impact in a fight.

Effortless Lace is by far the easiest. Cleric 1/Unchained Monk X will let you use Crusader's Flurry to psuedo-TWF with no penalty to hit at all with one or two rapiers.

Weapon Master Fighter 3/Sohei Monk 6 to Flurry as well.
