Technically it is a wondorous item with a continous effect rather than an armor so it is still active without the Wild enchant
or it is an Armor bonus and is stripped.
So if a wizard casts Mage Armor on himself and then Beast Shape it would lose the AC bonus provided by the first spell because it is an Armor Bonus? It doesn't really add up to me.
If there is a reason why the bracer would shut down during Beast Shape, "because it's an Armor Bonus" most likely is not.

+1 You and I may share the majority opinion, but there are some that say it is an armor bonus and would be lost.

Actually rereading the polymorph section, it uses a more generic "items that provide an armor or shield bonus", so by this definition clearly Armor Bracers are deactivated. I was remembering a more specific "armor and shields".
At least Mage Armor still works as it is a spell effect and not a bonus granted by an item

It's also worth noting that the wild enchantment doesn't actually work with beast shape (the spell). It only works with the wild shape ability, so if that's what you're asking for, yes that works. If you're instead asking about a wizard trying to use beast shape, it still wouldn't work. But in that case, you'd likely just want to use mage armor.

im actually asking about the oracle's lunar ability form of the beast which acts as beast shape spells but for 1hr per level.
A mentioned in the post above, items that grant armor bonuses stop functioning. That portion is in the Polymorph section of magic schools so would be in effect for your Oracle ability as well. Also Wild armor wouldn't do anything for you because it not being actual Wildshape.

I would like for them to work, but the rules say they don't.
When you cast a polymorph spell that changes you into a creature of the animal, dragon, elemental, magical beast, plant, or vermin type, all of your gear melds into your body. Items that provide constant bonuses and do not need to be activated continue to function while melded in this way (with the exception of armor and shield bonuses, which cease to function).
Bracers of Armor
...
These items appear to be wrist or arm guards. They surround the wearer with an invisible but tangible field of force, granting him an armor bonus of +1 to +8, just as though he were wearing armor. Both bracers must be worn for the magic to be effective.
It say that armor bonuses don't work, not armor don't work.
On the other hand if your new form has something resembling wrists you can put them on after changing shape. They are wondrous items, so they change size to adapt to the body of who is wearing them.

That just means the "near universe" was ignoring a particular section of the rules for one reason or another.
That doesn't mean they were right or running the game as stated in the rules.

Expect table variation on this one. There's never been a definite, agreed upon, answer.
At *my* table, you will lose all benefits of equipped armor and shields, of the physical variety. However, you will keep armor and shield bonuses from other sources, including bracers of armor and the like. This is because I read "armor and shield bonuses" to mean bonuses from *actual* armor and shields - note that it doesn't mention anything about AC.
Btw, the "Wild" enchantment only helps for individuals using the Wild Shape ability and does absolutely nothing for others using polymorph effects, including the Lunar Oracle's Form of the Beast.
