Ugh. Fire alarm. My whole night is in chaos because some dillweed decided they had to vape in a bathroom :/

Pro tip: Vaping trips smoke alarms.

Almost done. Lots of fun

I made a decision tonight. I think I'm going to pass on the towing job. Although I do need the money I'm not sure the job is a good fit.

Oh and....

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!!!!

Another lovely day. I'm glad I won't need my AK

I am beat like a rented mule though

All you've got to do is stand up and scream "Hang that f%&*er!". It works every time.

Or say "I do not believe that prison is the way to go. Peace, love, and flowers works better." I wonder just how well that will go off.

Whoa, dude! Peace and love and flowers DO work better. At least, they always make me feel good. How's about a hug?

If by "works" you mean "gets one cited for contempt of court", then yes :)

Cell signal in this courthouse is really s@*@ty. These big old marble buildings...

It does. Thank the gods for patient blogs. I have learned so much about making recovery easier and am prep shopping for being unable to open my mouth for six weeks. Thank you, bloggers!

No. I hope he is okay. I'm sure he is on Facebook, or some other evil thing I do not participate in.

No, actually he feels much as you do on that front FHDM

I haven't heard much from him since he was involved in PFO. I am ashamed to say with everything going on I have kind of let contact slip. I do hope he is ok. I'll drop him an email.

I have been a student of the Singulatarians and Ray Kurzweil. I try to conceptualize what the future will bring, but it is hard. I intellectually understood that computers would get smaller, but how smartphones would transform society was beyond my imagination.

Like I've said before: you're all invited to my virtual Sigil when the technology allows me to create it. If I manage to stay alive for the next 30 years I fully believe that some version of me (likely a digital copy) will survive into infinity. Physical (aging) immortality is a harder trick to pull off, but is within possibility as well.

Me? No. I haven't attempted such a thing.

But it has been known to happen. Judges get snarky when someone tries too transparently to get off jury duty with something like that. Usually they've seen it all, and can tell the difference between someone with prejudicial views and someone who is just pretending to have them.

Silver Crusade

I got out early today, on the condition that I have to go back tomorrow for possible trial selection.

Yay! Court is interesting. What fascinated me as a juror was the "regulars" - people who go there day after day as if they were watching TV.

You can hear them compare notes in the hallways. "What you gonna see today?" "I'm going to Judge Smith's. There's an assault trial." "I don't like Smith. I'm gonna see whats up in Judge Jones' courtroom today."

OI Vay, some people need a real hobby! ;P

Yay! Shift picked up at work !

I blended some beef vegetable soup and froze it. Tried some just for fun.

Blended food does NOT taste the same as unblended food. The soup is good. The mush is... eeeurgh.

Appointment for a dentist visit made on... 29th. Ah, well. It's not that bad that I'd need to get that fixed NOW. What worries me, however, is that it will be a whole series... At least four teeth, in each of the corners. Assuming that none of those *pings* are from adjacent teeth failing at the same time.

That moment when you notice on The Evil Network facebook a shared note about artificial intelligence and think it fits with what Sharoth posted here earlier today. And then you check again and see that's actually posted by Sharoth in his human guise...

I actually lost his email, but I have his phone #. I called him, and spoke briefly. He's been very busy with life issues, and hasn't had a chance to do an awful lot of game-related stuff. I told him about the Treefort, and he said he might pop in if he has a chance.
