FYI Treeforters. In a few days I will be Recruiting for a high level Second Darkness AP where the players will be Vampires.
We will be starting at the end of Book 3 (more as background than actual play) and the game will commence in full at the beginning of Book 4 in the Darklands. A link to my Recruitment thread is in my profile.

Le Sigh indeed.
I am tired. (Probably not quite as tired as a certain monkey, yet.) ;P
I am sore, I am listening to middle school bands compete on my stage, waiting for them to finish so I can get to work.
At 3 ish we kick them out, and I start loading in Sweeney Todd. Finally.
It is going to be a long load in.
And Tech.
And Rehearsals.
And Shows,.... :/
WHY do I do this to myself again? Oh yes, I like being in shows. :)
Just not the ones I also have to Tech Direct. :/
Yeah, I know.
'The right to b!t@h is paramount to survival, but no whining allowed.'
I'm dangerously close right now to crossing the line.
Must be time for more coffee! :)
See you all in a week! :P

Good luck, and don't work any harder than necessary. :)
LOL! I never do! ;) (Well, I TRY not to!) ;P
I'll do my best. But SOMEone has to do the work, and my student workers are a lot of no-shows recently.
Yes. Conversations will be had. But AFTER I get through the fun stuff of the next couple of days. :P
Everyone drink a Cider for me this weekend! I'll have to catch up after the show I think. (I'll DESERVE one by then! A lot more than one, certainly!) ;)

Just finished sipping a shot glass of Amaretto, just for you, retroactively. :)

That'll work too!
Hm. I feel better already. :)

Wait, are you in the cast AND tech directing? How is that possible? I am picturing someone onstage performing while giving lighting cues into a headset...

LOL,...
Yeah, no. I am crazy. Not Stupid. :/ (At least not that stupid!)I ALMOST ended up having to do that once. ONCE.
No, I am the Tech Director for the facility, so I am doing all of the set up, making sure lighting sound, etc, works, and designing the lights and writing the light cues. I am also in the Ensemble.
I am NOT calling the show. That is the Stage Managers job. :)
(In my usual course of work, for rentals and such, I end up calling the show. BUT I am not IN those shows.) :)

Hm. "Student workers." Volunteers?
"I want to thank all of the student volunteers who didn't show up, leaving me to do all the set-up work by myself. Thanks ever so much."
Sheesh. :=/

Ah, no my student workers are actually paid. (Poorly, but they ARE paid!)
Which is why I REALLY get ticked when none decide to show up.
My next email will read something like,
"I'd like to thank all 2 of the workers who showed up to help for Sweeney. I'd also like to remind all of those who did NOT show up not to be upset when (favorite renter, who rents 3 times a year, they get paid all day each day for a week, and renter provides food) comes back and none of you get any hours that week."

Which is why I decline to be a supervisor of any sort. I'm losing enough hair as it is. :)

Agreed, my official title is Tax Manager but all I manage is my own work load. Makes it much easier to get things done when I know I can only rely on myself!

I don't know. I am a little annoyed sometimes that I am a "sort of" supervisor. Like when I need to give some of my so-called "subordinates" something to do but the actual manager said have given them something else.
