Hi, can the harm variant channel of the forge domain damage a metal door? girders? a floor made of metal (iron flooring maybe)?
"Harm—The damage effect is enhanced (see Variant Channeling above) against metal constructs and unattended metal objects"

Thanks for your insights

The rules regarding how channel energy interacts with constructs and unattended objects is unfortunately vague, and different sourcebooks imply different rulings. However, it's pretty clear that the Forge variant channel is intended to allow you to target any unattended metal object. So yes: doors, girders, flooring, you name it, they're all unattended objects and valid targets for this ability provided they're made of metal. I'd rule you couldn't actually eat through the ground beneath someone's feet (I'd count that as "attended"), but otherwise I'd let someone with this ability go to town and turn a metal fortress into swiss cheese if they wanted to.

I agree. So long as someone isn't touching it at the time (no instant pits ) I'd allow it to affect all the items you can, so long as they are metal. This would certainly provide a unique way to escape a prison.
I assume hardness would still be a factor though, but it is enhanced allowing some pretty decent punch through that.
