Inquisitor with wildshape??

Advice

I really like the inquisitor and want to take the skinwalker coldborne race. Im going for a monster hunting monsters kinda pc. The only thing i miss is wildshape... I really like it and love it for my pc concept. From wildshape i only want the bear shapes that function like a druids wildshape. 4 levels of Druid would do the trick with the feat shaping focus but this really hurts the progression of the inquisitor... So my question is this...

Can i effectively multiclass with 4 levels of Druid or is there Some other way of getting wildshape??

Wildshape is pretty much exclusive to Druid. You got that Hunter archetype, but besides that you dip or you do without.

Sadly.

VMC Druid also does it . Very badly (very late and limited).

There are also Oracles with some wild shape esque revelations out there. But natural weapons don't work well with Bane, so it's not the best strategy for an Inquisitor anyway.

Is this a home game? If you're just interested in turning into a bear, it might make more sense to ask for a bit of homebrew.

A magic bearskin cloak or belt letting you use Beast Shape to turn into that particular animal shouldn't be too expensive. The Pelt of the Beast does something somewhat similar, though it's packaged with several other abilities and doesn't give you a whole lot of bear time.

I'd also say that a series of three racial feats would be fair - one to give you an additional bestial feature when you use your racial shapechange, one to use that ability to turn into a medium size bear as Beast Shape I (available no earlier than level 4), and one to use that ability to turn into a large bear as Beast Shape II (available in the level 6-10 range). That's actually less favourable than the Kitsune's Fox Shape feat.

I believe there's an item called Lion's Cloak or something that makes you a large cat 1/day. We had a monk that used it.

Not a bear though :(

I suppose you could technically use Leadership go get an Infusion Alchemist or Brown Fur Transmuter Arcanist to pass transmutation effects onto you.

Lunar Oracle gets the Form of the Beast revelation and is also a Divine Caster. You could VMC Inquisitor in return in order to get the iconic Stern Gaze and Judgement abilities.

Druid / Inquisitor has some WIS synergy and can improve multiclassing by getting both the Judgement Surge and Shaping Focus feats. I would however take an archetype that removes the bane feature, becuase as said before, it doesn't work well with natural weapons.

Divine Slayer? Whichever archetype that gives the slayer studied target ability. That could work with animal form.

Sanctified Slayer is a good archetype, but the delay you get on spells and abilities from taking the 4 level dip in Druid is, imo, not worth it.

Also, you have to revere nature to have Druid class abilities. So you sort of need a nature focused god for your Inquisitor, which might clash with your character concept.

You can dodge this by taking the Hunter archetype Feral hunter. 4 Level dip, no nature reverence, permanent Animal Focus, and animal-only Wildshape.

I still suggest trying to homebrew something. Inquisitors have so many cool abilities, but it'll take forever to get them if you have to dip for four whole levels.
