So I'm building a duel-class Ninja/Warpriest and am going use the combination of the Warpriest's Sacred Weapon combined with the Ninja Trick, Flurry of Stars to let me launch 3 Shuriken's at once that each deal 1d6. Anyway I was looking at the price of enchanting and it seems, it would cost 2000+ gold just to get one enchantment. so my question, since shuriken's are destroyed when they hit even if masterwork, is if its worth it to enchant it. As well as if there would be some way to repair them.

Shuriken are treated as Ammunition, which means you enchant them in sets of 50 as opposed to one at a time

"Although they are thrown weapons, shuriken are treated as ammunition for the purposes of drawing them, crafting masterwork or otherwise special versions of them, and what happens to them after they are thrown."
Shuriken are enchanted as ammunition, and as such are 2000 gold to enchant 50 pieces, and only have a 50% chance to break after throwing them missing a target.
...ninja'd, but added a little information.
*edit* I can't read.

So I could get about 16 and 2/3 flurry of stars off with them before having to get more. well that's good to know but that doesn't answer if its worth it.

I thought they had a 50% chance to break if you missed, and if you hit they definitely break.

The cost is a bit hard to swallow but since you are a warpriest you really only need to make them +1, then you can add abilities on the fly to the stack of 50 using your Sacred Weapon ability, you can also take Craft Magic Arms and Armor to cheapen the cost by making your magic shuriken at home

Snively wrote:Wait, Warpriest? "Abundant Ammunition" would be a fun wand to have....Would that work on Shurikens??
The spell says it does:
When cast on a container such as a quiver or a pouch that contains nonmagical ammunition or shuriken, (including masterwork ammunition or shuriken, but not special materials, alchemical attributes, or nonmagical treatments on the ammunition), at the start of each round this spell replaces any ammunition taken from the container the round before. The ammunition taken from the container the round before vanishes. If, after casting this spell, you cast a spell that enhances projectiles, such as align weapon or greater magic weapon, on the same container, all projectiles this spell conjures are affected by that spell.
But only normal (or masterwork) shuriken. No special materials, no enchanted shuriken. It works better with arrows (as the bows enchantments are passed on to the arrow fired).

Sweet, that makes shurikens easier, but I wonder, would it be possible to repair a masterwork shuriken so i can keep using an enchanted one?
