So I am loving this game so much that I have bought the character expansion for RotRL and will probably be playing Lini this weekend with my friends.
Could anyone of you, who obviously has more experience than myself, give me any tips for building a deck for her? For example is she any good at using healing spells, or she more suited to offensive stuff? Etc etc
Thank you all!

Since you're with friends, you can probably do okay with having one of them pass a weapon to you at the beginning of a scenario, so you can make good use of Lini's discard power. Otherwise, it's only Inflicts for you unless you luck into a Holy Light. Lini certainly wants a Cure or two, as most Divine casters do. If you don't have Sajan in the party, Amulet of the Mighty Fists is an okay add-on to help with combat checks when you're just starting out. Otherwise, she likes the same Basic card starting out that most characters do: Amulet of Life, Thieves Tools, Detect Magic. Go wild!

Great, thanks Dave!

When I played Lini, I split my spells roughly 1/3 into Cures, 1/3 into Attack, and 1/3 into scout/utility - so for Basics early on I'd take 2 Cure, 2 Inflict, 2 Detect Magic for instance. Later on I'd replace with Augury, Holy Light, etc.
I then play fairly aggressively with blessings, spells, etc, using Cure to recycle the cards back to maintain momentum.
As long as you have an animal in hand, and are willing to discard a card now and then, you can accomplish almost anything. Lini is a great generalist and will probably help cover your bases with Seoni and Ezren.

If you only have RotR, there are several healers: Kyra, Lini and Lem (Harsk can provide support in a pinch after he gets a role). Whether you want to use Lini for healing depends on your party composition and other things, but she is decent at the role, because her 1d10 + 1d4 + 1 base Divine check outclasses everyone else, so she's very good at recharging cards. And at most other Divine spellcasting in general.
She is less good at fighting without spells, though she's okay if like Dave says someone hands her a weapon at the beginning of the scenario.

Yeah, the GF's in love with that girl and took her solo through RotR.
Your, biggest asset, it should be obvious, is your 'animal ally' power - it should be pretty extraordinary if you get caught without one in your hand. This power goes - more or less, depending who you ask- in downright 'imbalanced' category, but if you're fine with rolling over any single check possible - maximize the power before anything else.
After you get a couple of Wisdom skill feats -or even before that- upgrade Dexterity. Both for barriers/closing checks and for offensive capability.
Get a Weapon card feat. Combat Spells are all good and well- Oh wait, this is RotR so Divine spells are not. You should probably start with the 2 Inflicts in your deck, and once you get your hands on the 2 Holy Light (available from AD1) - you've pretty much hit the ceiling. With all the other things you need spells for (healing/scout/utility), you'll probably not need more than a couple Attack spells. Until you get the Weapon feat, as others said, your best bet is that other players toss you a ranged weapon , but considering you play with Ezren and Seoni, that might be an issue. Still, thanks to her other power, Lini is pretty handy even when bare-handed.
Get Deathbane Crossbow +1(also from the AD1 Add-on)- you'll stick to this weapon well into AD5 at the very least. And you'll be grateful for it. (if you come across it before you get a feat - try to 'pretty please' Ezren into carrying it for you until you get the feat, and throw everything you got into acquiring it)
For other card feats - you should pro'lly take a couple Allies (duh), but consider also Armor. There's a Loot armor at the end of AD2 that grants you +1 Dex while in your hand, so it meshes well with your Ranged weapons, as well as protecting the animal in your hand from unexpected damage.
Whether you take this suggestions or not, be confident in one thing - there's no way in the Abyss you can mess up Lini.

I actually like to get Lini a (particular) melee weapon. I think it is the Scythe+1(?). Anyway, it turns all d4s that roll a 4 into a 5. There is also a loot weapon early in AP5 (Fanged Falchion) that turns all d4s that roll a 4 into a 6. Give Lini that, and toss a blessing her way, and she is rolling 5-6 d4 + animal bonus + weapon bonus + str bonus. (d4 strength, d4 animal, and 2d4 weapon plus any dice from blessings) I think both of those weapons require weapon proficiency to use optimally, but that's usually my 3rd power feat for her anyway (after maxing her animal bonus, since I know I'll be going for those weapons). Without the animal or strength bonus, you have an expected value of 12 and 14 with those two weapons respectively, without a blessing, and with fairly low variance. That's good enough for most mobs in RotR, allowing you to save your spells for the villains or henchmen. Add a plus 3-4 for your animal bonus, and maybe a point in strength, and you can almost auto-defeat many mobs, and stand a decent chance against a number of henchmen or villains.
