Per the Summoner's Eidolon class feature: "A summoner can summon his eidolon in a ritual that takes 1 minute to perform."
In game there are always situations were I would not necessarily want my eidolon present (don't want to scare the locals/don't want to advertise that i'm a summoner/etc) or that it has been sent a way (me being rendered unconscious).
Is there a way to speed up the process of calling the eidolon?
I am aware of the Summon Eidolon spell but that makes the eidolon subject to nerfing by any protection from alignment spell.
Are there any other options?

Isn't the summon eidolon spell supposed to take care of these situations? The "oops, I don't have my eidolon with me right now and this fight won't last 10 rounds..." 2nd level spell, one round casting time and you get your eidolon for 1 minute/level.
I'm surprised a method for speeding up the summoning process exists at all since it eliminates the need for the spell and one of the few balancing aspect of the class. *shrug*

I was looking at doing a synthesist archtype. Which would mean constantly having the eidolon out in the open until i could afford the Hat of Disguise
Synthesists don't have to wear the eidolon "suit" all the time. They can dismiss their eidolon and look normal when they want. When they summon it again, it forms around them.
Quicken Magic (feat or rod) and Summon Eidolon will work to summon the eidolon quickly.
Also, you can craft a Ring of Summon Eidolon (or other magic item) that summons it as a standard action.

The problem with not having the Eidolon on all the time is it takes 10 rounds of combat to bring it in to existence so unless you have some way of predicting the future the Eidolon will not be involved in any type of unplanned combat. The issue with Summon Eidolon spell is that the eidolon can now be nerfed by any protection from alignment spell.

Every class has its weaknesses. But you are intended to use the summon monster sla for this situation.

Thus, one acquires Racial Heritage (elf) or some analogous ability permitting one to select favored class benefits for more than one race, using the 1st 9 levels of Summoner to chip that down to a single round summon at 9th level onward.
Especially efficacious with Synthesist. Spam summons until they are exhausted, then Iron Man up and go to town. ;)

ANY ?
from "protection form evil" : (emphasis mine)
Third, the spell prevents bodily contact by evil summoned creatures. This causes the natural weapon attacks of such creatures to fail and the creatures to recoil if such attacks require touching the warded creature. Summoned creatures that are not evil are immune to this effect
so a true neutral synthesists will never have "protection from..." issues
any other will only have issues if they face the proper spell
