Wrath of the Righteous Deck List is missing the Companions section

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Companions are a new feature for the Wrath of the Righteous.

They are called Cohorts, and they are indeed on the deck list.

Not on mine. I see "Scenarios Completed", "Mythic Paths", "Spells", "Weapons", "Armors", "Items", "Allies", "Blessings' and "Loot".

There's not "Cohorts" section.

I just downloaded the Deck List again. There's no "Cohorts" section nor are cards for characters like "Aron Kir" listed. Players need to track which Cohorts are available for a scenario since they may have been removed from the game.

Can you please provide the link you're using? All the deck lists I can see have cohorts listed right above the Adventure and Scenario cards.

Under "My Downloads" it has this link:

https://secure.paizo.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wo/65.2.1.StandardPag eTemplate.1.29.3.1.1.2.1.3.4.1.1.MAAssets.2.9.1.15.1.0.3.1.0.2.3.1.1.1.3.4. 1

The downloads page at http://paizo.com/products/btpy914x indicates that the Community Use Package: Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Character Sheets are in MyDownloads. I typically go off a date change on that page to tell me when I need to update my files. The last date I have is August 2015.

I tried the Downloads tab at the bottom of this page: http://paizo.com/products/btpy914x

Selected "Community Use Package: Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Character Sheets" which has this link:

https://secure.paizo.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wo/167.StandardPageTe mplate.1.29.3.1.7.0.0.2.1.3.1.0.com_paizo_appserver_components_ProductDispl ay.1.1.13.1.1.2.3.2.1.3.1.1.3.1.1.1.DigitalAssetDisplay.0.2.3.1.1.1.3.3.1

It still reproduced the problem I'm seeing (Deck List with no Cohorts entry).

The Deck Lists for characters of Wrath of the Righteous doesn't have Cohorts on it, nor should it. You don't always have access to Cohorts except specific characters like Alain. Otherwise cohorts are per scenario. And none of the class deck characters have cohorts yet.

The Wrath of the Righteous card list has cohorts on it.

I'm aware of how cohorts work (despite my naming gaffe), but the character sheet downloads offer no means of tracking which ones were removed from the game, but they do provide a sheet for redeemed cards, so it's reasonable to assume there should be some means of tracking which cohorts are no longer available since it's a new feature specific to this adventure path.

Where's the deck list? I don't see it on http://paizo.com/pfsacg/resources listed under "Card Lists". There isn't a link for Wrath of the Righteous.

It's no different than the fact that they don't give you a way to track bands that have been removed. It's just a part up to us to do, I prefer flipping them around and putting them at the back of the decks.

Each component (Base Set and Add-on/Adventure Decks) has a card list available on their store pages. These get compiled together at some point after everything's been released and put on the Resources page. I'm sure Wrath's is on the list of things to do.

Otherwise, if you need to use the box for multiple ongoing games, I hear pen and paper work pretty well to keep track of the odd cards removed from the game. If you're only playing the one game, then you can just put the cards somewhere designated for out-of-the-game cards.

I'm not in the know about all things PACG because I'm not a subscriber, and I've been too busy working on the Adventure Guides a lot of people seem to enjoy in my spare time (the same time I could have spent playing PACG and learning all about the player aids and where to download the Card List.)

I downloaded the Official Character Sheets for Wrath of the Righteous, even though I don't own the game yet. The RotR and S&S Character Sheets included a listing of cards which matched everything in the box. I'm looking over Wrath of the Righteous' card list and observe that cohorts aren't listed. It seems like a mistake since it doesn't match what I've seen in the previous two released products, so I posted something about it.

Skizzerz says I'm wrong and it's on the deck list (now, in hindsight, we were talking about two different files.)

Theryon says it shouldn't be on the list, but he does say it's on the Wrath of the Righteous card list which is at least a clue there's something else I haven't downloaded. The names "Deck List" and "Card List" are not the same.

Andrew says it's like other stuff they don't give us, and we should just help ourselves.

Parody finally gets me the answer about the Card Lists. Thank you, that answer helped a lot.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'd also like to thank Chris Lambertz and Tanis O' Connor. They both posted responses shortly after I made my initial post with offers to help.

Based on what I've gathered here, Deck List != Card List and there's apparently no problem with the Character Sheet downloads. I updated the comments section for the Community Use Package PACG Character Sheets with my findings.

I think cohorts are not on the deck lists because they are not actually part of characters' decks.

It'd still be useful to cross them off on the same sheet you use to track your deck. Most of the time you're building your character deck for the next scenario (where cohort information would be relevant).

Remember, I don't own the game yet, so knowing what's what cardwise would help me get started doing things like this:

Kenabres, the infamous city of witch hunters, sits on the border of the Worldwound in the nation of Mendev, and it’s where you’re stationed for the Fifth Mendevian Crusade. Just beyond the massive iron works that channel water into the city from the river below, behind the barrier of wardstones erected during the Second Mendevian Crusade, lies what remains of the shattered nation of Sarkoris, its lands warped and twisted by a century of close proximity to the abyssal portal known as the Worldwound and the depredations visited upon it by marauding demons.

Kenabres was a rallying point for refugees when the Worldwound first appeared, opening its gates to its neighbors and trading partners ravaged by the demonic invasion. This hospitality quickly turned cold when a demonic infiltrator disguised as a refugee slaughtered 62 citizens early one morning in 4607 AR. The tragic event was called the Red Dawn Massacre by the residents of Kenabres. Subsequent refugees were exposed to a battery of invasive tests and regarded with suspicion once they were granted residency. These ill feelings led to many “witches” being burned at the stake in the intervening years for having appearances or faiths that differed from local norms. The church of Iomedae eventually stepped in to rein in these witch hunters, and while some of the church’s best agents employed sophisticated investigative skills and magical or divine means to cautiously root out genuine fiends, most independent witch hunters remained an unscrupulous lot driven by prejudice and greed, more likely to visit harm upon the innocent than punishment to the guilty, only now they were acting under the auspices of Iomedae’s clergy. Years of constant warfare and the absence of any major public incidents have lead to a sharp decline in the number of witch hunts in recent years, but the city’s witch hunters remain vigilant, ready to spring into action should the need arise. Most of the residents have not forgotten the role that the current ruler Prelate Hulrun had in the latest round of witch hunts, but fear or common decency prevent most of them from bringing it up. Rumors circulate among Hulrun’s closest advisors that the Prelate hides his shame in public, but privately frets over whether the cure was worse than the disease, such is the burden that paladins must bear.

The Mendevian Crusades count many adventurers among their ranks, but not all are driven by pure and righteous motives. Some seek to reclaim family lands lost to the ravenous horde of demons spilling forth from the Woundwound. Others seek revenge against demons for the harms visited on them and loved ones by the fiends. Some serve for personal profit, hoping to loot the remains of old Sarkoris; but many enlist because they’re simply trying to prevent the Worldwound from engulfing their own homelands. The need is so great that several units consist entirely of convicted criminals substituting military service for commuted sentences back home. It’s only when the parolees arrive on the frontlines that they realize the full magnitude of the bargain they struck.

Events from your childhood provided early indications that you had the makings of a good adventurer. Whatever your reasons are for joining, you’re now a soldier in the Mendevian Crusades. Welcome to the fight, and good hunting.

I get the confusion here. It would have been reasonable to have the deck lists say "COHORT: X" because you might not be looking at the back of the card when assembling your deck the preconstructed way.
