FAQ and Errata sheet link

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

Is there a link available for a downloadable version of the S&S FAQ and errata?

I'd like to print it out, but don't see an easy way from the FAQ page without good formatting, links, margins, etc.

I did try search under 'errata' and 'FAQ sheet' but didn't see anything.

Thanks in advance.

No, there aren't any downloadable versions. I believe Hawkmoon keeps an updated copy on Boardgamegeek though, can't say for sure.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Not that I know of. For the few where I've wanted an offline copy, I've been copy/pasting the FAQs into Word and editing the results. (Ex: to fit each Class Deck's FAQs on one page.)

Depending on where you like to start, Paste Special/Unformatted Unicode Text might be more to your liking than keeping the web formatting.

I use Post-Its, writing the errata (usually one or a few words) on the part that will stick, then cutting it out and placing it on the card where appropriate.

There are actually full body post-its with the sticky part on the whole back

This question is more specific to Class Decks, since I've ordered the Drivethrurpg cards for Rise of the Runelords Base Set.

Hawkmoon has very beautiful errata cards, but some Resolutions are intended to be over "card art" (pictures), such as "Add the Trait Attack" to one of the Spells in Class Deck Bard. I imagine that someone isn't supposed to reproduce card art due to copyright, but wondered how other PACG players change up their cards. Some Resolutions also want things to be done to "Checks to Acquire/Defeat."

1. Are most people using Sharpies to write "Attack" or scratch out and rewrite the Acquire/Defeat checks changes, or what?

2. If you use Drivethrurpg, is it acceptable to use current card art?

If we're talking class decks, there is no check to Defeat. Only checks to Acquire. Class decks are all boons (except for character-related cards, of course).

Personally I just review the FAQ for my deck and remember anything essential. It's no trick to remember Paralyze has the Attack trait, because it should; likewise that Flaming Scimitar +1 should have the Magic trait.

When making cards on drivethrucards.com (not RPG, BTB) you can't use any art you don't have the rights to use, and that includes all Paizo art not made available by the community use policy.

(Aside: You're throwing me off with the term Resolutions. Never heard that word in this context. Around here we call them errata or FAQs.)

For Character/Role updates I use my custom character tents or Paizo's character sheets.

Most Class Deck boon changes I just remember, as they're pretty obvious omissions once you're used to how the cards are designed ("templated"). If there's more complicated FAQs that I think I might need then I make a sheet for the Class Deck and print it and/or make a PDF out of it for reference.

Thanks for helping me on this. I've call them "Resolutions" because that's what each one states to resolve a matter. PACG Tenets I & II mandates that each card must be used as written. I've mostly been playing in the organized Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Guild, with enhanced rules regarding variance and being asked to leave venue. That's why it's a strong concern for me.

I have quite a few Class Decks and want to acquire more. I don't remember all changes to each card so I have a reference document probably similar to Parody's. So far I've made a small dot with blue Sharpie on a card to remind me to refer to my document. But it's slowing me down solo at home and also in organized play.

In the case of Spell Paralyze (I couldn't remember the specific card at the time), I looked through Rise of the Runelords Base Set and my current Class Decks to see if there was a correct card, but each one was marked with my blue Sharpie dot. I didn't think to look through my other Base Sets, but will do that in a minute.

Hawkmoon's works have been invaluable. The only problems are areas with card art/"pictures." That's typically where Traits and "Checks to Acquire" are shown. I've begun to exclusively play Alchemist Damiel; he cannot play Spells with the Attack trait.

I need to get some of the more recent resolutions added. And I had started working on a way to handle the traits and perhaps the checks.

For traits, I'm experimenting with clear labels. I'd just print the word, cut it out, and stick it at the bottom of the trait list. For removing a trait, I'd probably just create a solid black box on the clear label.

I'd been working on it a little while ago, but go busy with non-PACG things and haven't had time to finish. But hopefully soon.

I found out that Spell Paralyze is correct in Class Deck Alchemist. That was the Class Deck that I own and overlooked. For this situation, I'll just copy and print the correct, "Alchemist" card and tape it to Spell Paralyze in Class Decks Fighter and Wizard.
