I just finished a game tonight before the big Gateway Con happening tomorrow in La.

With tonight's game reported I now have...

Keep in mind that you can only use one of these boons once, at least until you've GMed you 200+ games, so it may be worth holding out on using this boon if you plan on picking up more GM stars (and we all hope you do).

Heh. Probably true. I actually had 2 stars before my first PC kill. In fact, I still have more stars than kills. In PFS anyway - I also have a relatively recent kill as GM for a home campaign.

If you can keep pace with GMing one special for every 15 regular games you won't have to play catch up when you're aiming to get your 5th Star.

Probably so you don't risk the character dying early in their career.

The other potential problem with applying the boon right away is the character might retire before you get to the higher end boons (3 star +) depending on how often you play / GM.

Or do Gen Con once a year... that's up to 4 per year (based on this year).

First, congrats! But watch out, we might draft you when you show up here. We need more active GMs....

@Paz: I kept forgetting to go through all my PCs to try and find which one I gave my GM Star Boon Chronicle to. I actually found it yesterday, when I was making sure one of my potential PCs for the game was up to date. He had it, and I finally managed to get his second box checked. Of course, since he is only fourth level, I will have to wait until he reaches fifth before I can get the third box checked. He has only one more XP to get to 5th. And, to allay concerns, he has checked boxes every game I have played him since he got the chronicle.

It looks like he (his name is Gorbesh, his class is Sorcerer) got the chronicle when I played him during Cronge's 5 Star audit game, with VC Iron Helix doing the auditing.
