Okay, so here is what I want to do. I want to get dex to damage with my dagger. My confusion comes from the fact that my book doesn't mention light weapons in the feat, while both the Archives of Nethys and the PFSRD say it does. I was wondering if their had been a rule change or if these websites are just plain wrong. This is a pfs character so I need consistency not just a ruling from one GM.
Thanks Bunches

Might as well mention this for anyone doing searches in the future for similar questions- the basic publication history of slashing grace
- It originally started its life during the ACG playtest as a simple feat to let swashbucklers use long swords and the like with their abilities. A feat tax for a flavor option, basically.
- In response to complaints, Paizo added the dex to damage clause as an afterthought, since they were still thinking of it as a 'swashbuckler feat' and basically making it comparable to dervish dance (only it allowed bucklers and such, so better).
* sidenote- That is in fact why it doesn't do attack to damage with one handed weapons- you are assumed to be using it with a swashbuckler
- The fact that you had a dex to damage feat didn't work on light weapons, when it worked on axes, seemed a bit odd, and a lot of people craved a simple dex to damage feat (much like a desire for pounce)
* side note- Paizo, it would appear, doesn't want to do a simple, low cost dex to damage feat since it would boost up TWF (one of the main high dex builds). See- agile weapons (expensive when you have 2 weapons), dervish dance (only for a 1 handed weapon, and tried to forbid TWF), and fencing grace (for a 1 handed weapon, hard to combo into TWF without extra penalties)
- Paizo eventually allowed it to apply to light weapons through an errata in ACG, but they really, really wanted to keep it in the 1 weapon/1 handed style
* sidenote- if the restrictions forbiding TWF like styles seems a bit over done... well... look up 'dervish dance unarmed strikes' in the rules forum search bar, and you will see the madness that came from trying to keep it relatively simple. Devs can get paranoid after seeing these threads...
This has been a basic summary of the publication. While do generally respect the basic intent of this history, I have mainly tried to stick to an unbiased description (for the most part...still a bit miffed about the dervish dance/unarmed arguments) of the appearant general course of the feat.

You can stab your enemies with your sword or another slashing weapon.
Prerequisites: Dex 13, Weapon Finesse, Weapon Focus with chosen weapon.
Benefit: Choose one kind of one-handed slashing weapon (such as the longsword). When wielding your chosen weapon one-handed, you can treat it as a one-handed piercing melee weapon for all feats and class abilities that require such a weapon (such as a swashbuckler's or a duelist's precise strike) and you can add your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to that weapon's damage. The weapon must be one appropriate for your size.
Pazio's Advanced Class Guide
Zipped PDF of errataIn the Slashing Grace feat’s benefit, in the first sentence, after “kind of” add “light or”. After the final sentence, add “You do not gain this benefit while fighting with two weapons or using flurry of blows, or any time another hand is otherwise occupied.”
