Advice on What To Buy For First Campaign

Product Discussion

So I'm about to run my first campaign. Ive played for a little over 2 years with alot of experienced players but none of us have actually played a paizo Adventure Path. Since our recent campaign is about to end I figured I would try an AP as my first intro to GMing. What I'm asking is advice on what to get to have an enjoyable adventure path.
1.Probably going to pick up the Anniversary Edition of Rise of the Runelord. Looks like the most popular and put together, I also really like that the level goes so high so its a long lasting campaign. Is this a good first buy, would this campaign be too easy/boring for experienced players, is there a better campaign for a group of experienced players?

2. What should I buy for maps and Minatures. I currently have all 4 boxes of the Beastaries along with the NPC codex box, this has worked well for us so far, will it work good for RotRL?

3. Any Advice of other stuff to buy for this or any other AP you all recommend.

P.S. Was looking at RotRL Collector's Deluxe Edition. I sounds nice but its 200$ and I cant find anywhere else even selling it, is it really worth it to buy?

1. RotRL is excellent, and has a ton of support on it's message board here. My players are loving it.

2. You've pretty much got most of what you need. For maps all you really need is something along the lines of this.

3. Check the boards. There is a veritable gold mine of info there.

P.S. can't comment, as I haven't run the Deluxe Edition.

For number 3 would you mind linking some reasources? Dont really know what to look for and shifting through all the info on this site is a little difficult for someone that doesnt know what their looking for.

While not essential there are all kinds of stuff which could be useful (you can run it with just the Book itself)

1. Player companion to Varsia (cannot remember it name)
2. A Campaign guide to Magnimar called "Magnimar City of Secrets
3. Goblins of Golandra

These spring to mind.

I would echo the call to look at the forums. Some people do some amassing stuff and then share.

I strongly considered RotRL for my first AP to run, went with Wrath instead. Some things: For iconic fights, or for NPC's/PC's, you can purchase the minis individually. I bought several of these boosters back in the day, but you can just buy the individual minis. They probably have a pawn pack too, and I can't recommend enough doing that. Pictures help immerse you, even if they're 2d cutouts in stands. For some of the iconic fights, which I won't spoil but you can figure out once you have your book, you might buy the big bad guy. Can you reuse it? Maybe, maybe not, but placing (for instance) a big bad dragon in front of your players can enhance the mood.

My product recommendations:
Pawns

Maps

With the caveat they list on the second product, that it was not updated for anniversary edition (though many of the maps remain the same).

You can print maps, but that's a hassle to me. I am the lazy GM. (It's why I run AP's).
