Unarmed combat / martial artist abilities without monk levels.

Rules Questions

Unarmed Combat
Martial Artist
Both these abilities say (insert class name here)'s levels stack with any monk levels for the purposes of determining his flurry of blows, stunning fist, and unarmed strike class features (including determining damage dealt by his unarmed strike attacks).
How does this work if you had the class without class levels.

Nothing. It doesn't give you the class ability, but its predicting you would have those features because you need monk to get to the champion prestige. And you need flurry for the brother of the seal. So since it doesn't give you them, nothing happens.

Dang. I was hoping it would treat me as a level 0 monk so I could abuse some mechanics with unchained monk since unchained monk is treated as a variant class of monk (like rogue/ninja).

There's your error. You hope to abuse rules. That's the bad way to do things.

Pretty much the rules never work this way, and if you try to use the rules in this way you will find all the FAQ ruling against you. ;-)
