Hello all,
I've seen threads with concepts of the use classes to hide the fact a PC or NPC is a vampire. I want to turn the tables on this.
What i'm looking for is to use classes to give the impression of being a vampire.
I'm not going full caster, but a dip in sorcerer of serpentine bloodline gives a nice flavor with the fangs.
As well as looking to emulate its powers as much as possible, without having to use a dhampir as race.
I was considering a 1 sorc, rest bard and maybe 1 dip in swashbuckler for the rapier goodness.
However maybe there's tips i haven't thought of yet.
Thanks in advance.

Let's see, there's a feat that causes you to be treated as though your undead for the purposes of healing and negative energy damage that I can't seem to find right now, and I found this.
Death’s Kiss (Su): You can cause a creature to take on some of the traits of the undead with a melee touch attack. Touched creatures are treated as undead for the purposes of effects that heal or cause damage based on positive and negative energy. This effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your cleric level (minimum 1). It does not apply to the Turn Undead or Command Undead feats. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
It's a part of the undead subdomain
EDIT: The feat is Necromantic Affinity.

To do a vampire's powers you'll want charm person/dominate person, depending on level, and it may help to be able to summon wolves (summon monster or summon nature's ally) and/or bats (summon swarm), and to be able to assume gaseous form. Being able to do the above silently would help a lot, which makes bard a bad idea.
To me that says sorcerer. You're going to want to apply silent spell spontaneously rather than being locked in to preparing it on every spell. Sanguine wildblooded is made for a vampire impersonator. Carrying a rapier isn't the same as using it, and no self-respecting vampire is going to resort to hitting people with a sword, so I wouldn't bother with swashbuckler.

A Blood Kineticist might be fun. You gain powers over blood, and can do things like Kain in the Blood Omen games. It's nice and gory, and not at all related to actual vampires.
For bonus points you can play a Human, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, or Scion of Humanity Aasimar to take the racial heritage feat for dhampirs then you can take all of their blood drinking feats

Dhampir are good for this.
I mentioned i am refraining from dhampirs.

True, but that is an 'actual vampire', who has DR. The party in question has 3 strong melee carrying greatsword/greataxe. A sorcerer is chopped-shishkebab if 2, let alone 3 come close.
The character would be a lvl 8.
Imbaticus, i don't see blood kineticist, just elemental and universal.
Could you link the page or source you base the suggestion on?

just because you arent using a dhampir doesnt mean you cant use Dhampir feats using racial heritage ;)

Be a caster with access to Necromancy spells, the Undead Anatomy and Beast Shape spells, Gaseous Form and/or its upgraded variants, and other thematic spells such as Blood Transcription, Boiling Blood, and Infernal Healing, and take a certain very appropriate Prestige Class for some extra necromantic power and control (and some help in case you ever decide to ACTUALLY become a vampire). The PrC is only 5 levels long, and at 4th you get Negative Energy Affinity, so you don't need to spend a feat or something on it.

As a more off the wall idea, what about a Kitsune with a bunch of magical tails. Transformed into their human form would hide the actual tails. Abilities like charm person, suggestion, dominate person. Misdirection to actually make them DETECT like an undead/vampire.
Use high sleight of hand to perhaps do the occasional drink potion / UMD wand to turn into mist. Disguise skill, bluff. A swashbuckler or ninja (both?) might make a good class to tack this onto if building "legit". Both classes are self contained without feats being so manditory. Both make good use of the charisma and dex of the Kitsune.
