When using a wand to deal damage. Where does the spell originate? For example I was fighting a bunch of burning skeletons and started using my wand of cure light wounds on them. The GM asked if I had a free hand to deliver the spell, it was my understanding that the wand was delivering the spell. So I guess is this when using a spell wand like cure light wounds or whatever the case may be, where exactly does the spell come from? Does the wand transfer the charge to my hand; be or does the wand hold the charge until discharged?

If your other hand had a light shield, it is a free action to transfer the wand to your shield hand, letting you touch as normal.
That being said, I would certainly allow a wand or similar thing to do the touching. Although I don't think there is any particular rule that says you can, clearly the popular image of how a magic wand should work leads to that conclusion.

It would seem silly to have to "point the wand in the direction" of your victim/target and then pull the wand back so you can touch with your hand.
Wasn't Sean K Reynolds a developer or something? It just says "Contributor" by his name now.
That's because SKR has left Paizo (amicably) to work on his own personal stuff and is no longer part of the development team.
