I am trying to build a crazy old cat lady for PFS. I am not looking to min / max by any means but I would still like the character to be useful in situations. Not necessarily straight damage it could also be through crowd control or buffing. I just think that it would be a fun concept to RP.
Classes I was thinking of were possibly focusing more on Summoner / Hunter for 2 cats and maybe 1 level of wizard for a cat familiar.
I am trying to stay a little low on actual companions as I don't want to have too much running around on the GM so if there was a way to actually just get 3 familiars then that would be better.
Stat-wise since it is an older lady I am looking at probably less on Str/Dex/Con and more on Wis/Cha/Int.
Flavor-wise I was thinking of having her reflavoring her 'spells' to be in older lady form i.e. sleep to be her telling a long boring story. I am looking to have her use a cane as a melee weapon, not quite sure on ranged weapon yet.
Just trying to think outside the box and have some fun with it. I know you guys will have more ideas than me just piddling around on Herolab.

The best idea for a real "cat lady" would be a druid: there's an archetype that allows you to divide your druid level between several pets, so you'd be able to adopt a new cat each level. However, in PFS I think you're only allowed one pet at the table, so even two cats would be unfeasible.
If you want to play up the "old lady telling stories" part, a bard would be a great option. There is at least an archetype, and a line of feats, either of which would allow you a cat familiar.

Do the cats have to be real? If not you could go for an oracle with the haunted curse and be haunted by a horde of imaginary cats. You spend a lot of time talking to your cats that are not there. No one can be sure if you are crazy or not because of the weird thing going on around you. Some of your spells could actually be the cats doing your bidding. Mage hand in particular would work well for this and it is one of your bonus spells.
Use your feats or some other method to get a cat familiar. Variant multicasting would work well but I am not sure it is legal for PFS.

The pack lord Druid suggestion is a good one- you can grab one cat companion per level (plus whatever pets you buy), and shillelagh is a great spell for your cane if you ever need to get into melee.
If you want to be as melee capable as possible with your cats, things to look at include: a mauler familiar, the animal ally feat, boon companion (if you're doing multiple ACs), and augment/superior summoning (for calling more cats). It would take a while to come together but a summoner with a cat eidolon, familiar bond and improved familiar bond for a mauler cat familiar, animal ally and boon companion for a small cat AC, and augment summoning for celestial dire lions could be pretty brutal...

Canes wouldn't do very much damage. If you want to make "cane" your melee weapon, it would be more effective as part of an Intimidate build or for delivering some kind of Touch spell.
My first though is Druid and cast lots of spells that summon and control animals, especially cats. Hey, maybe be a Lion Shaman and turn into cats...

Yes, Lion Shaman is starting to look pretty good. It looks like according to the FAQ that you can have one combat animal companion/eidolon and one familiar out at any given time. Also however many noncombat 3cp cats that you want.
Would have to go more intimidate to flavor it out as you are scolding the young bad guys for being naughty.
Maybe a few whacks with the cane to straighten them out again and teach the party some manners, respect their elders.

My friend has been talking about doing the same build (but for a home game, not PFS) so for a second there I thought you were him :D
I think he's doing a packlord or something along those lines, although I was trying to talk him into doing it as a hunter so he can share his teamwork feats with them because that would just be funny :)

You could get a Familiar with the Eldritch Heritage or Familiar Bond feats, depending on which option seems better for you. This way you don't have to multiclass to get a familiar, though giving up 2 or 3 feats is bad.
Summon Minor Ally might be what you need, as it can summon any kind of tiny animal.
I'd warn you to not annoy the other players or the GM though. You'll get more actions then the other players which will take up more time. PFS games have a time limit so if you take too many actions a less patient GM might fireball your kittens.
My GM likes to keep the companion stuff at a bare minimum, yet somehow we ended up with a Cerberus eidolon, a wolf animal companion, a Gnome Alchemist cohort and a Bearded Devil (Spheres of Power) companion. Although I think the last 2 won't see combat that much.

Yea not looking to annoy the GM. I only play PbP PFS currently so it shouldn't take anymore or any less time. I am mainly looking at it flavorwise not necessarily combat companions. I was mainly looking at 1 combat companion a familiar and a her of noncombat cats.
Combat cat to be my main attacker while the familiar cat brushes up against the bad guys to deliver touch spells.

I play PFS with a guy who makes lots of whacky characters, and one of them is a crazy cat lady - I believe she's named Margaret Abernathy. I don't have build info on her, but I think she's an Oracle, has a cat companion and she definitely buys cats to accompany her, occasionally giving them away as bribes or rewards to people. She's also got a wheeled stretcher she travels with, but for the life of me I can't remember why...

The deal with PFS is that you can have only one combat creature.
You can have as many non-combat animals as you like. Buy a pack of meowing cats and have fun. But only one kitty can aid you in battle.
Your options for classes are varied, depending on whether you want your kitty to be a familiar or an animal companion. I also love mysterious stranger's suggestion for using haunted curse.
BTW, if you go Oracle, you could get a tiger animal companion from lunar mystery.
So what do you want your crazy cat lady to do? You can put a familiar on a wide range of classes these days. Are you going to be:
- A crazy cat lady who fights with her cane? (Eldritch Guardian with Mauler Cat familiar?)
- A crazy cat lady who does witchy stuff? (witch, shaman, sorc, oracle)?
- A crazy cat lady who acrobatics and sneaks into people's houses? (carnivalist rogue)?
- A crazy cat lady who sings odes to her cats -- and with them? (duettist bard)?
The possibilities here are endless...
