Free form pretty much means there is no real system. it's just a story I tell and you role play a part and decide on things and I craft a story around those decisions. I know a lot of people like rolling up characters that is why I wanna see if people would be open to it first before I really spend a lot of time working on it.

Would we be "Helpless Victims", or would we have a bit more power / fighting chances / survivability?

it's it hard to make it scary when you play as the horror. But I bet I could come up with something Maybe a werewolf, witch, ghost or psyco killer, campaign though I would probably have an actual system in place for that maybe after valne city I will create something.
Well, it's a bit of the "Only the Villains/NPCs get the Awesome/Gruesome Stuff!" category.
Edit: As an aside, could work for multi-groups campaigns.

How would people feel about an episodic approach? We get on once a week and do the equivalent of an episode meaning a session with a beginning, middle and end with a hook of course. They don't have to be real long. Or play Monday through Friday with the episode being wrapped up Friday. Then A weekend break, which gives me time to smooth out the next episode.
Also if cool with you all we could do a very simple dice roll set up. Just for bigger situations and such, still figuring out the details.
Tell me your thoughts please.

This will be a horror game that will focus more on stealth than brawn. You will be traversing a nightmare fueled story, It will start in a Small town called porter where you will be your average folk haunted by dreams of a house in the middle of the woods on the outskirts of the town. This is a modern setting. I am giving minimal detail to the story on purpose. It will be more fun to go in with things being a complete mystery. You can each pick three of nine starting items. They are: Lighter, 12 ounce plastic thermos, pocket knife, pocket flashlight, duct tape, stone arrow head, leather strap, paper clip and a bandage wrap. You will have simple backpacks so you can carry other things you obtain. You all have a cell phone and a vehicle of your choice within reason. No tanks or whatever.

There are some elements yes especially with some of the monsters and how mad they could make you go.
But I am not going down one particular path. My inspirations are as follows; A Tale Of Two Sisters, The Thing, Suspiria, The Shining, A Nightmare on Elm street, Jacob Ladder, Resident Evil (Mostly elements of 1 and 4), Silent Hill, Let the right one in, Alien, Umineko, Higurashi, Another, Coraline and Lovecraft.
A lot of what inspires me in horror and other stories that have dark elements are not horror, like Pans Labyrinth and other dark fairy tales. I tend to favor fantastical/psychological horror over Slasher/torture style stuff. Though I may have elements of it where fitting, I love a good death scene and creative monsters.
Sorry for the wall of text. Hopefully some of this appeals to at least a few of you and want to see what I come up with.
And just a fair warning, I will be closing recruitments Saturday.

Well, I do have this character, originally designed for a Carrion Crown campaign. I must admit I am a bit uncertain about the "free form" part. That does not mean that players are supposed to create the impact of their actions on their environment as they see fit, does it? I have certain doubts about that. I am going to have simple rules. I have limits to what can be done. But honestly this game only has ordinary people nothing else. I understand if this does not interest you.

Hmmm. Sorry about that. Well, yes, it happens that I don't read the entire text, I just skim over it to figure out whether the recruitment is already closed.
It's cool, don't worry about it. As I said the conditions are kind of jumbled. The recruitment will remain open a day or two longer.
