Homebrew and House Rules

ik ik most of you will just say , i shouldn't because XYZ reasons , but i do take great care in any of my creations to not brake the game , so with this said can anyone help explain one of the fallowing?

1) how to create a new unique weapon?
2) how to modify and existing weapon to better fit my characters unique design?

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

Typically by comparing it with existing weapons. What do oyu want to create?

Scarab Sages

dotting

Could you give us an example? Its near impossible to offer an opinion without an example to compare to existing items.

You've said that you've created items before. Since you "know" how to create balanced items, what do you need us for?

the weapon this character is wielding

The fire is obviously enchantment, so doesn't factor into base stats. How about:

Dragon Fists
Exotic Light Weapon
Damage 1d6 Crit 19-20x2 B/P
Cannot be disarmed, Can allow grapple damage to be regular instead of subdual.

this works but instead of it doing more damage from grappling it just gives a minuscule bonus to cmb

and would thse considered to be a bladed weapon?

You could also try this system for creating new weapons. Maybe have it cost an additional point or two for any additional special effects (like not being disarmed).

In the picture they do not remotely look like light weapons, they are metal to the shoulder, so its a stretch that they'd be one handed, which I'm going with.

One handed, blocking (specifically stacks to a +2 if dual wield)
1d6 pierce/bludgeoning, *3crit
Balanced like sawtoothed sabres to avoid two weapon fighting full penalty for dual wield(-2-2 if wielded as set)
Cannot be disarmed like locked gauntlet
+2 to cmd against sundering

I too made a system for this kind of thing but its more complex than what you're looking for. you can find it here if you want

it's a cestus

a really cool cestus

Its a pair of klar, or cestus, or punch dagger. Depending on your vision, just work around that.
