Skill Tricks?

Is Ultimate Intrigue going to have something like the Complete Adventurer's (I think) Skill Tricks?

Basically, you would be able to spend skill points to learn how to do special maneuvers and abilities, like climb a wall real fast, perceive invisible creatures, or jury rig a piece of equipment.

I believe skill unlocks are PF's version of Skill Tricks.

See Pathfinder Unchained for skill unlocks.

Complete Scoundrel.

And PFU has a system very similar to Skill Tricks.

Ultimate Intrigue may expand upon these, however, and allow for a second grouping of cool abilities.

Using Acrobatics for Parkour maneuvers, for example, would be a really cool thing to see.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

My 5th Edition rogue has Expertise in Dexterity (Acrobatics) and Strength (Athletics) so he can do Parkour. He even yells "Parkour!" like Harry Dresden. :-)

Off topic, but I'm pretty sure any parkour trick can be emulated via Acrobatics, Climb or Escape Artist already.

Skill unlock are far away from skill tricks.
I can see that some skill tricks went to the rogue talents, and many other ones just disappear.

Sadly, because they were likeables. But skill tricks are somehow stunts from other book... i cant remember the name.
