Witch Hexes - Finding a Feat

Rules Questions

Hello fellow Pathfinders!

I have a really quick two-part question in regards to the Witch class:

1a. Is there a feat that increases the DC of a witch's hex?
1b. If yes, what book/supplement would that feat be located?

I have only the main books available to me at the moment, but if there exists such a feat I will go out and find the book that this feat is located in so that I can utilize said feat. :)

Thanks in advance!

Ability Focus and Bestiary 1 ;)

Some GMs may not allow that feat due to the language of it being a special attack. Mileage may vary.

Where else would hexes be placed if not under the special attacks section?

Also, it bears noting you have to select which specific hex it applies to.

Hmm, excellent! I'll take note of this, and will go hunt down this book ASAP (as soon as paid :P )

Also note some GMs won't let you take it because it is in the bestiary and they assume it is therefore not available to PC's. There is no such restriction, but that doesn't stop them. So it is advisable to speak to your GM.

Some reasonable GMs do not allow monster feats on PCs. Others do. PFS, for instance, does not.

Aye, maybe should have clarified that it as a house rule. I didn't intend to comment as to the reasonableness or otherwise of it, just that it exists. :)

There's a 3rd party feat that does exactly this. Of course, not PFS legal, but then neither is Ability Focus.

Potent Hex

"Most of the following feats apply specifically to monsters, although some player characters might qualify for them (particularly Craft Construct)."

Not allowing the feats is a houserule. PFS not allowing them is a PFS houserule.

Although I agree, it is a common houserule.

I've read a post in the past where some paizo staffer clarified that you must apply Ability Focus to each individual Hex separately.

Sadly, Ability Focus may not be allowed for players in general as it's meant as a monster resource. (for example, it's not allowed in PFS)

If you like though there is a feat that adds plus one dc to all the spells of their patron. This would stack with some other ones out there.

Abilities that boosts DCs of "x spells and effects" should apply. For example, an ability that adds +1 DC to Sleep spells and effects should apply to Slumber Hex. And the elf +2 to save vs enchantment spells and effects will work against enchantment hexes.

What feat is this?

Witch knife, friend.

It'll work with patron spells. If you chose a destruction patron you could stack it with some other dc boosting feats.

None of which boost hexes but it's a DC boost for a witch you may like.

I didn't take it personally. I had other things to do and I was healing patron.

While not a feat, the Hexing Runes from Pathfinder Player Companion: Dragonslayer's Handbook gives +1 DC to one hex for 24 hours. Price 10,000 gp.
