PFS Retraining Cost Help Needed

Rules Questions

I hate the character concept of my Skald, so much so that I refuse to play him anymore which is unfortunate. So, I am considering retraining him but I want to make sure I get the correct cost down.

He is currently a level 4 Human Skald. This is what I want to retrain.

His first level Feat, third level Rage Power, and his Human alternate racial trait. I am thinking this should cost in the neighborhood of 600 gold and 10 prestige? Is this correct?

Also, once I retrain him can I retrain my level one feat into something that he didnt qualify for at level one, but does now? For instance Power Attack. Or does it need to be one that he could have qualified for at the time he would have first picked it up.

Thanks for your time.

I don't think you can retrain alternate racial traits, can you?

I don't know, which is part of the reason I am asking here.

If it isn't listed in UC you can't retrain it.
You also need to own UC to retrain.

All things retrained cost GP and time (PP in PFS).

I own a PDF of the book so the retrain option is available to me. I am still looking for clarification that my estimated cost to retrain is correct. If I am only able to retrain 1 feat and 1 rage power, I believe that brings it to 400 gold and 10 prestige. Am I correct?

Show your math.

Let's go in order:

  • Retraining your first level feat will cost 200 gold and 5 prestige. You can retrain into any feat you currently qualify for, meaning you can take Power Attack, but not any of the feats that can only be selected at first level, like Fey Foundling.
  • Retraining your third level rage power will also costs 200 gold and 5 prestige. In this case you can only retrain into a rage power you could have taken at the time (no retraining a 3rd level rage power slot into a rage power that can't be taken until 8th, for instance).
  • Retraining your alternate racial trait will cost 1000 gold and 20 prestige.

Thanks Jeff, I didn't have the book handy.

    Thanks!~

For future reference, I made a mistake on the racial trait retraining cost. It's only 800 gp (I accidentally calculated the cost as a 5th level PC, not a 4th). The prestige cost is still the same (and thus still prohibitively high).

    Thanks Jeff. 20 Prestige...but that's 10 Cure Light Wounds wands!!~
