Making Downtime Monthly

Rules Questions

My Pathfinder game is social and centered around a main "hub" location. I think the downtime rules would be good to represent buildings, organizations, and businesses my PCs are interested in building. However, I plan on skipping several months at a time between adventures.

My question is if I skip daily events if I could merely contract production to a single roll and multiply the result by number of days.

Also, I want to know general recommendations regarding this system, such as fixes for issues or things to watch out for.

Thanks ahead of time!

One thing you could try doing is roll a big group of dice, like 30d20 for a month of work, and taking the average as a result for each day? Of course this is a lot easier if you use a dice rolling program.

I appreciate the response. Yes, a solution to doing downtime monthly could be "don't do it monthly roll massive amounts of dice". But I already know I could do that and would prefer not to. Mainly, I'd rather just multiply the results of a single roll, if that's feasible.

If you have the characters take 10 on their checks then there is no rolling involved :) It's how I generally do my downtime since it gives me a standard income.

Yeah, just assume an average roll.

I guess that's simpler than multiplying rolls. Are there any other pieces of Useful device for using the downtime system?
