Unmasked - so what ?

Liberty's Edge

What happens when the secret identity is discovered ? When someone realizes that social and vigilante are the same ?

I see no mention of it in the playtest pdf even though Quick Change mentions that it could happen. But does not say what the consequences are.

And I did not find it while scouring the current threads (hence this new one).

Loyal aids also mentions that some people might know that vigilante and social are the same. is this NPCs only ?

What did I miss ?

If your enemies find out, you lose your scry protection. If you didn't care about the scry protection, then that doesn't matter. In some cases, your social identity can lose the +1 starting attitude- NPCs knowing both identities may give them more reason to not like you. I think that's about it.

BTW, you are supposed to isolate yourself for 5 minutes (at first) to change identities. Do creatures that already know you as both social and vigilante (such as some Loyal Aids) count ?

Maybe there should be a feat that allows you to take someone in the confidence, like designating CHA modifier (min 1) creatures who are allowed to witness your change (say, your fellow PCs, or at least some of them).

Good catch. Thank you.
