My wife and I are planning on it.
We want to try and figure out how to run a live Swallowtail festival, and are already making plans on how to build set pieces and set up activities.
If things go well it will be our celebration of my graduation and well earned degree, so expect us to bring the party.

Ouch. Over Memorial Day Weekend. OW.
*considers, plans, plots*
Just tried to book a room, none were available...
Dangit.
That seems a bit premature for all of the rooms to sell out over memorial weekend. Perhaps there was a mistake?
Any idea when the room rate will be established?

Almost certainly, the hotel has put the majority of the rooms aside for the convention block, but that's not free until the con is formally announced in autumn.

Alright folks, we have the room block information available! Check the link on the main PaizoCon page to book. We're still working on other PaizoCon details, but if you wanted to get a head start on reserving a room, go for it!

I put in for the 'scenic view package' for the room, if it's available. Only been to Seattle-Tacoma once back in the early '90's and it was a mad rush from McChord to SeaTac to catch a flight. (I'd flown in on M.A.C. from California...)
Quite the adventure, but didn't leave a lot in the way of time for sightseeing.

Not much around the hotel is... scenic. Then again, I guess that depends on what yer definition of scenic is.

Are the only rooms in the block with 2 queen beds? It's just going to be me and my wife, so a single bed (queen or king) would be fine, and potentially cheaper.
I am wondering the same thing. It will be just my husband and I so we really don't need 2 queen beds. Also if I book the 2 queen bed room now and a room with only one bed is added to the conference price block can I change the reservation later?

In reality, I need lots of sleep too. At gaming cons, I'm never one of the "hang out and drink way past midnight" crowd. I'm more of the "rush to bed as soon as I can wind down from my last scenario so that I get maximum sleep before diving in the next morning."
Same here, but I'm hoping to mix in some awesome panels and other events! The diversity panel from last year was great!

Chris, any update on room types in the block that aren't double Queens? A single queen or single king room would be preferable for my needs and I'm sure others would as well...I'd rather have the double queens available for those who want that room type and save a bit of money as well (to be able to spend more at the store!)
