Hello everyone,
i'm going to start a kingmaker AP and wanted to try mounted combat, however due to party requirements for a good setup i got a very challenging build ahead of me and would like some advice or ideas.
What is required for this build is:
There will be a hunter and inquisitor as divine casters (inquisitor beeing me)
I will have to get disable device and social skills
It has to be good charging mounted combat build.
No 3rd party or homebrew stuff
So after some tries building this i have 2 options that appear to be the best but there might be something else and there is where i need help.
Option 1:
Go inquisitor with chivalry Inquisition for the mount, race human for 2 start feats (mounted combat and ride by attack), take the trait Nimble in the flesh to make disable device class skill and use wisdom as moddifier, campaign trait will be brigand (for social skills).
Problems of option 1:
- There is no Lance favored weapon deity nor a trait/drawback trade to get proeficiency with lance (heriloom weapon is too limited) and spending a feat just to get proeficient is also not great since this build will be very feat intesive.
Option 2:
Go inquisitor with Conversion inquisition for the extra WIS modifier to social skills (i also have a low charisma), also same race, feats and traits.
Problem: I would dip into cavalier Gendarme 1 level (on my second level) get the weapon/armor proeficiency, the mount and a bónus feat instead of tactician (probably spirited charge) but this means i will loose 1 level in inquisitor which is a spell caster which usually is bad.
Does anyone have a solution to help me improve any of this solutions? Which one could be the best one?
Thanks for helping me in advance :)

The sacred huntsmaster archetype can get you a better mount. It frees up your inquisition to be conversion for less MAD given you want social skills.
Heirloom weapon can work. Say you find someone who will cast the masterwork transformation spell on it, then get craft magic arms and armor at 5th level; kingmaker gives you plenty of time to craft, so it's a worthwhile feat, and of course you have the essential feats (mounted combat, ride-by, spirited charge) by 3rd level so you have a free slot then.

There's a little known deity who has lance as his favored weapon. Eligos, The Winged Rider only gets a tiny mention in a couple of books like Inner Sea Gods and BotD v1:PoD. Now, he may be a LE Infernal Duke of Hell, but you can still work with him and not be a "bad guy". His Area of Concern is Flight, Soldiers, and Watchfulness and his domains are Air, Law, Travel. One possible way you could fluff this off as being something along the lines of a LN Inquisitor who travels around ensuring that the roads are safe from banditry or that town guards and military outposts are alert and watchful for danger.

If you dip cavalier, the mount won't advance in power. I'd take Sacred Huntmaster, and consider coordinating teamwork feats with the hunter (solo tactics covers you, but your companion still needs an ally and the hunter will probably appreciate being able to use you as a feat ally in addition to his/her animal companion).

Sacred Huntsmaster is a must, as it allows you and your Animal Companion Mount to qualify for Pack Flanking and then Outflank. Those 2 alone give you a +4 to attack rolls, literally all the time.
Furthermore, you can choose a domain. If you're starting at/going to high enough level (8-12), then you can get the Rage subdomain, which gives you access to rage and a few rage powers. Take Ferocious Mount so both you and your mount can rage simultaneously. From there, take Amplified Rage for an even stronger boost. All this gets you another +4 to attack rolls, and at least a +4 on damage rolls.
Don't forget to take Escape Route, either. When you're high enough level, take Coordinated Charge, and wreck face.
