Am I my own ally?

Rules Questions

Warpriest's major blessing of Fire:

"Armor of Flame (major): At 10th level, you can touch an ally to wreath it in flames. This works as fire shield (warm shield only) with a duration of 1 minute."

can I touch myself?

Normally yes. They spelled it out in the Bard class features section, and then stopped doing it elsewhere for some reason. See e.g. Inspire Courage

Emphasis mine. So I'm pretty sure whenever something says "an ally" it includes you.

cool cool. thanks Doc.

...Well, are you? It's certainly a very good question to pose, isn't it? For all you know, you could be your worst enemy. :)

I'm pretty sure you do. It's ridiculous if you can use this on someone else but not on your self.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. And if I'm my own worst enemy, then the enemy of my enemy is me.

FAQ
You are usually your own ally. I reckon you are safe with this one.

Please don't touch yourself in public.......

Well, they say to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Which means you're keeping a friend and an enemy in a single 5' square.
