(5e) Princes Of The Apocalypse, Where To Start?

There is a big part of me that wants to ride the sudden 5e wave. If I were to start a Princes of the Apocalypse game, do you want to start at 3rd level to jump into the plot right away, or build up from 1st level?

All jokes aside I'd vote for jumping right into the plot. But would still apply if you started the characters off at 1st level.
