Unchained rage

Rules Questions

Shadow Lodge

can the new rules for rage be applied to other things with rage badgers, Bloodragers, the viking fighter arctype etc

Silver Crusade

Nope, it is specific to Unchained barbarians only.

If you are willing to go with a 3rd party product, Everyman Games released a product that is literally titled "Unchained Rage" today. It covers exactly what you would expect.

Funny thing is my player that is makeing a new toon just asked that about the Bloodrager and I was going to post it as I am leaning to say yes.

Grand Lodge

Toon?

Toon means character.

You're fighting a battle that has been lost for years.

Well then, I better make sure my Starter PC, has the right IVs, and properly EV train him. Probably a Steel Physical Sweeper, to align with my Weather team, and make sure his Moveset works with STAB, but still has ways to counter weakness. Maybe a decent priority move.

I've let players in my current Rappan Athuk game use which ever rage they like. Have a bloodrager using unchained rage, it's actually a slightly bit less damage overall.

Translation: A Barbarian (physical sweeper) with strong trait picks like Reactionary (IVs) and good gear like a Nodachi and Mithril Breastplate (EVs) who uses feat picks that synergize with Rage like Power Attack and Raging Vitality (STAB moveset), rage powers and feats to improve his defenses like Superstition (counters to weaknesses), tactics that work well with the rest of his party (clearly full of Wizards and Clerics, silly weather team), and maybe Improved Initiative.

We could make this a thing. I'm just saying.

Needs Bullet Punch. I don't care if it's a Feat or a Rage Power, make it happen.

Getting the jump on the enemy before they can attack?

VMC Diviner Wizard, clearly.

We were talking about a Barbarian.

A punch, at bullet speed, overriding initiative.

Well, that is the candidate for the priority move.

Good with a decent Held Item, like Life Orb.
